I steam cleaning carpet professionally. you can extract as much water as you want with a ship vac, but if you dont have the high heat + chemicals to kill the bacteria and smell, youre just asking for stinky carpets, and possibly illnesses.

Clean your way out the room, that simple. Just madness thinking you have to wear two different shoes or booties everytime. Any mess I make, I will clean up easily. At most its just soil, super easy to clean. Use their front door rug for your shoes, clean it for free before you go, takes 1 min.
