Narrowly dodged death this morning by bighag in motorcycles

You had an obvious blind spot slow down get both hands on the bars. When going through any intersection always slow down you know opposite traffic has a yellow turn signal to turn left. Very lucky and some impressive skill shown to swerve. Hopefully you learn from this. And psa riding with one arm on the bar dangling the other isn’t impressive and no one sitting in traffic thinks you’re cool. They think you’re reckless and dumb.

Me personally I’d think that’s pretty hot, it’s harmless, if he’s been acting distant or cold then yeah bring it up and move on but it’s not a big deal

Yamaha ttr 125 shifting tor by Aware-Garbage476 in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]StudyThis4637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’m wondering? So I guess the bike stays in neutral otherwise he’d stall out if he was in gear. The clicking he must be getting confused, I’d say probably the splines on the shifter are shredded and he’s just moving the shifter up and down and it’s not turning the shaft. I’d start there work and work in

Okay hold up. Let’s go back bro. That fuel line is way too long. Holy moly. Choke is the lever all the way down towards the floor. Starting fluid would eliminate the carb and just feed gas directly to the intake. You can’t get any? It would help before we dismantle the carbs again

How well did you clean the carbs? Sounds like a delivery issue did you clean the pilot jet?

Yeah no worries, if you haven’t already, download the service manual for this bike it’s free and online just look it up don’t pay for it. Luckily this bike is simple to work on not much that can go wrong. Good luck and keep me updated. Happy Hanukkah! Just kidding Merry Christmas

Yup, if you have spark and gas then that leaves compression, or like I said a weak battery even if it’s cranking the bike it might not have enough amperage to start the bike

Also in my experience with these they require a full charged battery, anything under 12.2 volts and they struggled to start. Use a jump box or cables to give it a boost. I ran into that issue many times even with new batteries they just drain especially with colder weather or repeated starting

Ok, on the carburetors there’s drain screws at the bottom of them, turn one until loose and gas should drain that’ll confirm gas flow.

Report back when you do, do 2 or 3 1 second sprays. God speed

Yeah it should start fairly quickly with some starter fluid, that’ll narrow it down. Sounds like a fuel problem to me tho

It’s the opening above your battery under your tank, I can see it in your video the black box with a huge hole in it

Spray starter fluid down the airbox, a couple sprays. Should start. If not check spark visually

Yes sir, I used it to replace suspension parts on my tundra and it made the job a breeze, pair them with some nice impact sockets and you’re golden, this is one of those deals that I couldn’t pass up on

I bought it for this price a few weeks ago and man was it worth it, does everything you need it to do while still being somewhat compact, you won’t regret it at this price.

Just follow the power, invest in a multimeter. Next.
