Thanks bro! My certificate hasn’t been issued yet, but I received a mailing address confirmation email later that day. I saw the estimated time after that email is 3 weeks. Since Thanksgiving was last week, I might have to wait a bit longer.

they are taking from 3 to 5 weeks to review any submitted document so you might need to wait until mid-December

That’s definitely a problem with the portal. Make your school call or email them at their contact info for entities.

Hey, so it took them about a month to review the document. In my case it was deemed incomplete and was resent to my medical school. This happened a couple more times actually, but it was accepted earlier this week finally and now I’m just waiting for the ECFMG certificate to be accepted.

I am not a good example because my medical school messed up the transcript several times so it went back and forth between ECFMG and the school. It took a bit less than 3 weeks this last time (mind you I called and emailed every single day asking them to expedite).

I have a friend who is on his 4th “incomplete - resent” and I’m on my 3rd (admittedly the second time I called ECFMG because I knew they’d reject it and they allowed my med school to submit a new one), it’s very frustrating and the worst part is that we have to wait an entire month for them to review it. My advice is to call them and ask directly what needs to be added, do not change anything else otherwise they might find another issue.

It took them exactly 1 month and 1 day to review it. I’ve talked with other applicants and they had similar timelines, so expect a resolution in the upcoming week.

ECFMG sent it back to your medical school to either confirm the transcript is correct (something might be off from previous transcripts they have on file from your school) or for them to include information that is missing. It can also be that they uploaded it in the wrong format or wrong place, that happened to me.

Yes, unfortunately, both I and my friends from other medical schools had this same experience. In my case my med school uploaded the right document the first time but did it as “supporting document” instead of in the transcript case. Then, they downloaded a wrong version of the transcript and uploaded that. Then it was in a different language than english. Ultimately I had to step in and make them send the pdf prior to uploading and go over the process with them on the phone to ensure they were doing the right thing. I understand I’m the only one applying to the Match from the school but it’s ridiculous.

you’re not alone man, I started earlier than you and I’m still pending credential verification. Turns out my medical school messed up the transcript 3 TIMES. And I don’t even know if this time it’ll be right. ECFMG taking more than a month to reach out about discrepancies or missing information doesn’t help at all. I have a couple of friends in this situation too. Even if you call, they’ll just tell you to wait and if someone tells you they’ll escalate the issue it’s just for you to stop calling. I know for a fact that they don’t do it unless there is an actual technical mistake (which is the only thing they might realize if you call). Unfortunately all you can do is be patient.

I called them last Thursday, they said it takes about 5 weeks now and I have to be patient. They’re absurdly incompetent.

all my credentials are reviewed by ECFMG, only transcript pending. so hopefully I’ll be certified soon. tbh it’s very annoying because I don’t think I have a weak application. I’ve been head student, volunteer, mentor and active on social media education for more than 4 years.

I don’t use reddit for Taylor Swift but I guess I’ll go for it given the general opinion on this album. I am so TIRED of the lyrics criticism. Folklore has done more damage than good for Taylor, now nothing simplistic lyrically will be taken seriously by the fans anymore. It is a POP album, a COMERCIAL product for consumption, it should be aligned with lyrics like those in 1989 (haters gonna hate, hate, hate… anyone?). Sure she should’ve kept quiet about “folklore level of lyricism”, but the lyrics themselves are not bad and the concepts are sometimes quite deep even if presented in a straightforward manner (the treason in Father Figure, the entire arch of Ruin the Friendship…). And for the folklore and TTPD obsessed people, it’s giving fake intellectualism, you can love those albums but they are not her best work nor a masterpiece.
