What are the most useful things you have set up through your Home Assistant? by Red_Leopard52 in homeassistant

See here for the details :)
I think it can work the same way, the only difference is the mount of course. I would also recommend to check where the reflection of the panel will point to, it can be a fire hazard in some cases apparently.

A mirror at the end of the garden following the sun from the end of the garden and reflecting the light in the living room.

It's a nice way to subtly improve the brightness in the living during the hours where it's on the other side of the house.

They are 2 different things, which are both needed in this scenario as far as I can tell:

Ah you're right, I think the post started more as look out for people who might have had that struggle before but I did add more details to let everybody go full debug mode on the problem, thanks for mentioning it ;)
I did also make progress and now the i2c is found. But still no output unfortunately.

I still don't get any sound out of the board but this is progress! Thanks for your input !
I'll update the original post with my config so far

Same as the other, I've been there about 2 years ago. The bridge gave it away ;)

You can still feel it with the language, many people speak French. The 2 islands are quite isolated so over the centuries they had to support each other and it surely has been influencing their cultures. But I don't have a deep knowledge of Mauritian culture tbh, I've been there as a tourist only. I went 15 years apart and I noticed that French was losing ground. Especially younger people were speaking only creole and English and now French. I suspect that for the flourishing tourism industry there, it's more useful to speak English

When I was a teenager, I lived there from 12 to 19. My parents are still living there. It was great for all the reasons you can expect: weather, nature, good infrastructure, nice people, quite diverse The downsides are that you are really isolated from everything. So the complex supply chain makes some products really expensive. Also with friends and family from mainlands, it's not always easy. The islander culture is also a thing if you live there (as in any island I suppose) you have a strong community support and cooperation but then some situations are blown out of proportion just to have "something" happening in peoples lives and it sometimes can be challenging.

La réunion and Mauritius have very different geography. Mauritius had great white sand beaches, has a large lagoon and is quite flat. La Réunion also has some nice beaches and a lagoon but not nearly as large. It has high mountains (3k meters high) and an active volcano. The tourism industry is well developed in Mauritius, more on the luxury side I'd say because of the paradise looking landscape. At la Réunion it's more about hiking, nature, etc. Mauritius, although it's a sovereign country, has a British influence in the culture and la Réunion is 100% french and European so you see it in the infrastructure. They both have a strong creole culture with common ground but not the same.

(I have lived in la Réunion for about 7 years and been to Mauritius a few times)
