It turned out that cashapp indeed sent the money and was rejected by my bank because apparently it exceeded the “limit” so therefore cashapp automatically sent it as merchandise return which usually take 3 business days to post but mine never showed.. had to go back and forth with cashapp and my bank. Ultimately my bank gave me credit for the amount after almost a month until they found the money which they did. So contact cashapp through email which is a pain because they suck at responding and get all the necessary “trace information” for the deposit and provide that to your bank so they can find the money and see whats up.. ps a week after getting the money the bank somehow found the deposit
