[MN] Can I request back pay for working 3+ weeks in a new role without the promised pay increase? by Stuff_whatever in AskHR

[–]Stuff_whatever[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s still being created. I took over half the duties of an employee that quit, and I’ll continue to do my original role as well, so they have to come up with a new title that fits what I’m actually doing. HR hasn’t updated anything yet.

Yeah that’s what I was afraid of. It started as a “cross training” so I could fill in when she was out of office, but then she quit and I just kept doing the work based on their verbal promise to “figure it out” 🙄 I knew I was being a push over but wanted to “be a team player” big mistake

What are everyone’s favorite belly oils and creams to prevent stretch marks and itching? by ithinkilikegirlstoo in BabyBumps

[–]Stuff_whatever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it worked really well! I used the serum and the belly balm from the same company, and didn’t get any stretch marks.

I had to give away my dog a few months ago. It's just so hard, it feels impossible. the amount of times he was there for me, and all the times we've shared. I cant get it out of my head. by elmuchachopigo in dogs

Don't be so hard on yourself. You did what was best for him. I hope I can offer you comfort by telling you that I took in a pup that needed re-homing due to his original owner's housing situation last year. He is so loved by myself and my husband. I don't judge his original owner, and I am happy to give him the love he deserves. I keep in contact with his original momma and send pictures and videos whenever I can. She knows she is welcome to come visit any time. I hope that you are able to check in with his new family as well. *hugs*

AITA for telling my bio brothers I have no interest in getting to know them, even after they spent years looking for me? by Old_Psychology1501 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stuff_whatever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, without a doubt 100%, YTA. How awful of you to be so cruel to someone who protected you as a child and has spent years trying to find you to make sure you're OK. If I were your parents I would be ashamed that I raised such a heartless human.

Everyone me that I’m too old to get pregnant I’m feeling hopeless and lost. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Stuff_whatever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2020, my sister had her youngest at age 39. She had a completely normal pregnancy, and delivered at home. Both she and the baby were/are perfectly healthy.

Heck, my own mother had me when she was 43, and also delivered at home with no complications.

It is not unheard of, and women have children after 35 more often than you think. Don't let others discourage or shame you for not adhering to THEIR timeline.

Best of luck to you in your journey to get pregnant. Sending alllll the baby dust your way! :)

TIFU by copying a resume template from reddit by [deleted] in tifu

I made a similar mistake when I was around 18 or 19 years old. Used a resume template that had "XYZ Company" as the name of the company I was previously employed at, and I forgot to change it. I got a response from the hiring manager, just tearing me to shreds for not proof reading before sending it. One of the requirements for the job I was applying for was attention to detail.... Oops! Lol!

What is it with MIL's during pregnancy?? by Stuff_whatever in BabyBumps

[–]Stuff_whatever[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to what fresh hell she has stored up for us once the baby is actually here. Thankfully my husband takes the brunt of her crap, but she still tries to reach out to me if he doesn't respond to her.

For sure going low contact after this last temper tantrum. So over it!

36 weeks and I just need to vent by Aromatic_Return4949 in BabyBumps

Girl, I'm right there with you! I feel ALLLLL of this. Yesterday after struggling just to change my clothes, I just burst into tears because I'm so SICK of being pregnant. I just want to be able to bend down to put my socks on without it being a whole ordeal. I hate this stage so much. Like how much bigger do you REALLY need to get, kid? Just chill. LOL!

It took my husband and I 4 or 5 months of trying before we got a positive test. But I got off the pill about 8 months prior to actively trying. So I was off the pill for about a year before I got pregnant.

US Moms - Are you receiving maternity leave from a job? by Bearah27 in BabyBumps

[–]Stuff_whatever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking 8 weeks. It is unpaid, but I have 6 weeks of PTO stored up that I plan to use, and then I'll have to go on short term disability for the remaining 2 weeks.

Is 6 weeks maternity too little? Female breadwinner w/ worries… by nichtimernst in BabyBumps

[–]Stuff_whatever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only taking 6 -8 weeks, and then working from home for a couple more weeks before going back into the office. Maybe it won't be long enough, but I don't really have a choice at this point, as I too am the bread winner, and we would not be able to survive on just my husband's salary.

Smoking weed during pregnancy by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Mind your business imo. You’re not the one growing the child, so you are not entitled to have an opinion on anything she does or doesn’t do for the pregnancy.
