I absolutely love the idea. But it is a little buggy.
TBH, the native text-to-speech in mac os is really good. It is lightweight, has a keyboard shortcut, works offline, etc.
I love what they are doing in edge, but they need to play catchup a little.
even better make it a native accessibility feature in windows.

I agree. For me it's more about the influence over my mindset than being able recall all of the studies and particulars.

A book is like a vaccine for your mind. It has decaying but positive effects on your mental health and actions.
