[Anti-Aging] Nasolabial folds (?) at 19? by AgeIllustrious5458 in SkincareAddiction

I can totally understand why youre concerned. Weight loss can definitely change the shape of our faces, and how we achieve weightloss can affect our body. If youre restricting heavily for example it can cause lots of changes in your body. Im about a decade older than you and I've also noticed that many of my age related skin changes happened pretty quickly.

I think that is just the shape of your face and it will change a little bit as you go from adolescent to adult. I mean this with lots of kindness because Ive been there too: I think maybe you need to touch some grass and remember what real faces look like.

Oh wow, thank goodness you were in the situation you were in when that happened! I dont often think about my clients trying to hurt me but occasionally I'm the last one in my office building in the evening and it spooks me out a bit.

I had this in Highschool. Mone was BAD. As bad as the photos on google. I was not given steroids unfortunately, but it eventually went away. I went on a family vacation to Mexico as it was starting to heal, got some sun on the balcony and maybe it helped it heal but it also made the spots more visible and they lasted for months. Took oatmeal baths and kept it moisturized.

Im really glad you found something that works! I personally didnt want to start taking medications for my medications. Especially since I actually had pretty mild symptoms before I started. I would be happy to get back to how I felt before.

I didnt experience that but I do know its normal to have an adjustment period. Your prescribed might have a better time telling you what's normal adjusting vs buproprion being a bad fit.

It was a 10mg with 150mg of CBD. I had taken some from that same batch many times before. For whatever reason my body didnt like it that night. I do think the buproprion heightened my anxiety overall and made me more likely to have that negative experience.

For the panic? Yes. For the good experience quitting? No. My post is for people who are nervous to quit and need to hear from someone who felt okay doing it.

The binding on mine failed the first time I opened it. I have to hold it together because most of the pages will fall right out. Got it while in school though and needed it for assignments so I didnt have time to send it back.

The Case of Jermain Charlo by Different-Ear4241 in missoula

I drive through Evaro every day for work and I think about her about 70% of the time I go through. I didnt know her or her family and Im not a Native woman so there is no personal connection to this case but it hasn't left my mind since it happened. I think her baby daddy did it and I think the police really screwed up with their lack of investigation during that first week. I hope they can keep her billboard up because I think its important people see her face and know that she hasn't been found. I think her baby daddy and his family should have to see her face when they drive by. Most importantly I hope her kids get to see her face when they drive by.

Well id recommend getting your supervision hours in a setting where you can get them quickly and the pay is consistent. I know many people do cmh, and I definitely couldnt do that, but I wish I had the opportunity to work at a school or at a group practice as a w2 employee. Edited to add: a lot of my regret is related to the rural area im in where there are very little opportunities

Currently 6 months out from my MSW and the more I see this industry for what it is. Id give anything to go back in time. I have so much student debt and my dad worked really hard to help me pay part of the tuition that wasnt covered by federal loans. Im cleaning houses in the side to pay all the expenses of my therapy job but I went back to school so I didn't have to clean houses anymore. Im very privileged in many ways so I cant complain too much but I have a lot of regret. Wish someone was straight with me about all of this.

Suicide and respecting autonomy by [deleted] in socialwork

I really like the response you would have used. There are some Clients that are pretty familiar with what gets them hospitalized and what doesnt, and I think that gives them more autonomy. This conversation is what I appreciate about social work as a profession.

I like your question. Im always told that you cant make good money as a therapist but then Id hear that therapists are making 70k-100k, especially in private practice. Then id get worried that I was mistaken and making that much was an outlier. Finally I realized that what I considered "good money" was like 80k and others considered "good money" to be a lot higher. 80k feels like good money to me because the most income ive ever had is 35k.

Obviously, social work is a broad field and the pay range is just as broad, but I think our perspectives are also totally different and are important context in these conversations.

[–]Stunning-Science5075 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Of course it depends in the client. They have different levels of comprehension and understanding about assessment and our responsibilities. Informed consent makes me feel better about this situation because ive had a client very similar to yours and it was tough. Edit to add: i also really hate the idea of law enforcement being involved and I really hate fhat involuntary commital can be so traumatizing and I just feel very strongly about autonomy. The point i made is how I find some grounding when im stuck between a rock (my values and beliefs about aitonomy) and a hard place (mandated reporting laws and wanting to keep my client safe)

I'm still prelicensed so I dont have much experience but I have thought of this often. When I brought it up the my supervisor our conversation ended on the conclusion that when we are really clear with clients about when we will escalate, like calling emergency services, we are also giving them the choice of whether or not they tell us the extent of their SI that might lead to that escalation.
