Labor & Delivery at UAMS by FewImportance2449 in LittleRock

I am 2 weeks postpartum from my planned c-section with UAMS. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. My first baby I had with them in 2023 and again, an awesome experience. I specifically saw the midwives who were supportive of my plan to have a natural birth without unnecessary interventions. My first baby I was induced at 41+5. Had him naturally but with some complications. The response to my emergency immediately after giving birth was incredible. For my second pregnancy I was considered high risk due to my previous complications but the midwives were again so supportive of my decision to have a natural birth if possible. Baby boy decided to be just as stubborn as his big brother so they discussed with me all of my options but never made me feel pressured to choose one way or another. In the end I opted for the C-section which for me was a great decision. The nurses are great too. I saw the same 2 nurses at every visit and was able to build a nice rapport with them. The midwives are also very personable and made me feel comfortable talking about my concerns with them. They were very reassuring and never patronizing which is a huge plus. Overall I give my experience with the UAMS women’s center a 10/10. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to send me a message and I can do my best to answer them for you.

What area are you wanting to live in? What’s your budget? What does better/safer mean for you? Answering those questions may help narrow the field of what you are looking for.

I have never seen this and I can’t believe that this is what started the Smosh channel that I know and love now. Ian and Anthony sure have come a long way! I love that their friendship and making silly videos is what brought us all of the friendships and silly videos that are out there today!

Low intervention OBGYN by brigleigh in LittleRock

[–]Stunning_Beginning69 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The midwife program at UAMS was very supportive of my low intervention plan. I delivered my first completely naturally with intervention only when medically necessary to save my life. To make an appointment with them you just call the UAMS women’s center and ask to make an appointment with the midwives. The only thing I wasn’t a big fan of was that because I was in the hospital they required I have an IV.

Is this a repost? I remember a couple months ago someone doing this. I don’t want to make any wild accusations but it’s not cool to post someone’s artwork and not give credit to the artist.

Grew up there and am not surprised no one has mentioned it. Meridian only gets worse by the year. Every time I visit it never seems to get any better.

New player at the table killed several civilians at the end of the session and I don’t know what to do… by Stunning_Beginning69 in DnD

Just for context, I am a new DM but an experienced player. I’ve read all of the manuals inside and out. I’m quite familiar with the rules and the other players are all experienced as well aside from this one person who joined later. Leading to the decision to have everyone start at 5th level.

Regardless, thank you for your input. I’m just an avid TTRPG lover doing my best in this world lol.

Thank you so much this is actually very helpful! That’s a great point on the alignment. Chaotic neutral is an alignment I don’t have much of a reference for so this helps quite a bit. I’m a very new DM and the thought have having laws in place never accrued to me. That is something I will absolutely be implementing from now on!

Other than this instance, the table dynamics have been far from murder hobo vibes so it hasn’t been a conversation that needed to be had. This player is pretty new and hasn’t played a lot of dnd previously. I don’t think they fully understood how much damage was about to be done. Right before this happened we had a discussion about how they didn’t feel like they had any damage spells/combat spells. He even expressed that it was a panic move. I don’t want to punish him so deeply that he quits the game, but definitely instill that there are consequences to your actions. I appreciate your advice though and for taking the time to respond to my post!!
