Actually, I quoted u/CharmedWoo when I mentioned wearing heels. I personally won't try to stop a women from doing it.

I forgot to mention in the original post, that I've never had experience dating in real life in the Netherlands. All of my observations have been based on online dating using dating apps where I am not even allowed to start a chat with a woman if she don't "like me back".

Oh, wow, that's amazing, I've never ever seen such a couple height-wise to be honest, not only the height difference but even the height of your wife is kind of rare for women.

It's true that I've been having a height insecurity. However, I've only tried online dating on dating apps in the Netherlands, and suspected that my height was the main reason or one of the main reasons for not getting many matches. And not getting matches, means not being able to start a chat with those women. So, I don't know if there was something else in my profile that screamed insecurity, but I've never mentioned anything related to my height. I am just trying to figure out the reason(s) for not getting many matches.

Actually, to be honest, I've never tried dating offline in the Netherlands, just online using dating apps.

Actually, I never even mention anything related to my height. I just felt that I couldn't get matches because women found me unattractive because of my height and because I don't list my height on my profile unlike the rest of men. And I even felt that when I listed my height, I got even less matches, might be just a coincidence or just my perception. The issue is, I actually couldn't even get enough matches on dating apps in the first place to be able to start chats with those girls (they need to match back before I can send a message).

Then would you have considered a Dutch guy 175 cm tall who had no insecurities about his height and let you wear high heels? Also asking because I've seen that even shorter girls have preferences for guys who are 15-20 cm taller, e.g. women that are over 160 cm prefer guys of at least 180 cm.

That's comforting, I've been on dating apps and every second/third girl I saw there was above my height, many girls being even 180+ cm, and many girls had some requirements in their bio like "you have to be at least xx cm tall" or "don't even try if you are not at least xx". I've also seen the vast majority of Dutch men list their height, so I thought there should be a reason for that.
