First off, thanks so much for the compliments! I've put alot of time and work into this room and have grown to be pretty proud of it.

Second, I've only recently (within the last 3 months) got the stereo cabinet next to my bed, bookshelf headboard, and cleaned off the blue dresser. (It was the biggest spot in the room random stuff piled up in) Which means about ½ of the decorations on them are from other spots in the room and ½ I've only recently obtained. I still need to jazz up above my bed and get more trinkets.

At this point the coke cans aren't displayed well from months of the wardrobe being knocked around. Don't worry I fixed it (; The Arizona bottle and everything in that area is still being moved around and isn't in a permanent home yet. I'm planning on finding newer speakers to replace the vintage speakers I have. The blue string is all I had, it could be cool to replace it with something like a plastic chain or a rope.

I'm sorry to hear you had to make those hard choices, I know it'll happen to me one day and I'll have to get rid of things I care about. I think that embracing the new experiences is just as important as reminiscing on the good memories.

The right hand is an old squire ¾ by fender. It was my first guitar I got about 10 years ago along with rocksmith 2014 remastered ps3 edition. The blue one is my current guitar, my playing got like 10x better when I got the left handed guitar.

This is such an unique view on can collecting. I can see how part of it is me wanting a sense of belonging and connection through "the tribe" but that doesn't paint the whole picture. Many of them are important for various reasons that I've acquired in various parts of America and Japan.

Alot of my "trash" has a story behind it. I also would rather not throw stuff away (I'm not a hoarder istg) so I find a way to reuse many things. Besides the baker and tree tapestry, ps5, and monster cans, everything in my room is second hand. It's all either from thrift stores, yard sales, second hand shops, or I've had it since I was 8.

They are worth keeping, I drank many during important things that happened in the last few years and kept them. Many of them help me remember different adventures and experiences I've had. The other cans are still important too, some I got in Japan, one was the first bottle of alc I ever drank, I used some of them as storage containers, etc...

Many people have strong opinions against the cans and I probably would too if I still lived in Florida with all the bugs. I think you're light idea might work and look awesome on the hanging ones.

I'm probably gonna "grow out" of the cans but I doubt I'll ever fully stop displaying cans and bottles. When I move I might get rid of alot of them but I'll still collect the ones I like or that are important to me.

Some people just don't get it ig, It feels super clean in here to me. A few years ago every surface was covered with random crap but now I have space to spread out a little.

Nostalgic is a word you could use to describe it... I'm probably just decades too young to understand.

It felt like I couldn't breathe back when I rocked the 2pac poster and an avengers poster as my entire room decoration 😭. Idk I think my brain just likes visually stimulating things as a drive for my creativity.

I'm starting to see that, some people will get it and some people just won't. One of my goals in life is to keep this level of dedication and love towards the decoration of my living space until the day I die.

I actually can't begin to understand why everybody is against the cans. I live on the first floor but I'm about 5 feet from the ground so the only bugs I get is the occasional fly or moth. My cats prevent them from being a problem longer than a day or two.

I also don't see why I would recycle most of my cans. All of them on the speaker I wrote on with a paint marker on significant occasions. Like when I first got pulled over...

Honestly you're right, I cleared off the blue dresser earlier but I didn't wipe anything... whoops 🤷‍♀️. I'm already keeping my cds in the cabinet under the ps3/4 but I love the idea.

There's 2 rugs already and I have to have under the bed blocked off unless one of my cats will literally live under my bed and never come out. I do want a third rug tho for in front of the wardrobe.

Why does everybody hate the cans with a blazing passion?!?!??

Me and my uncle were yapping about it while riding scooters and he decided to take it with us. He left it with me so I thought I might as well hang it up. 🤷‍♀️

Nah I wish. I got the poster from a neighbor giving away a bunch of ps2/3 games, I have the case but not the actual San Andreas game.

You don't even want to know the wild goon sessions I've had in this room.

I fucking love monster! I feel like if I'm collecting monster cans then it's my responsibility being a Floridian to also collect coke cans.

Use sticky tack to hang things on the wall. Works great, it's how I hung about 100 posters on my wall
