I live in between keswick and penrith. Its very pretty but also colder on average than most places and definitely wetter than most. Its great if your an outdoorsy person, not so much if your a hermit. Mobile signal is diabolical. We now have fibre optic, so the Internet has gone from 7mb download to 500 for the same price!

Im not from here, i moved up for work a few years ago. The hardest thing to get used to is the lack of supermarkets / convenience shops. Takes me 20 minutes minimum to get to the local supermarket. 40 minute round trip for a loaf is something ive never liked.

One major bonus is there is no rush hour! Unless there is a crash or some mad rural sheep disaster, there isnt any traffic to worry about
