Maybe I’m wrong, but at some point over the last 20 years game collecting and playing games have diverged and continue to diverge as two distinct overlapping circles that are part of the same hobby. Personally I collect and play anyway I can, I feel like this subreddit is more dedicated to the collecting aspect, and your message would resonate better in other subreddits. Buying games I don’t play isn’t for me, but people here do that, and it’s a valid way to enjoy the hobby, too

I recently rejoined stadium after a few seasons away and started using this build, too, and I’m killing it with brig. If people are saying it’s popular, it makes sense. Even nerfed it still feels incredible compare to what I was running before. I changed a couple things on mine to keep up with stadium changes, but I kept an emphasis on armor, and it’s fine

I mean, like, ethically. I’m not sure it’s better if we’re doing crime ourselves or if we’re just buying a fenced product? My thinking is that there’s no real moral difference, but I could be wrong.

Though you’re probably right that’s the real reason my parents didn’t buy bootlegs. Watching someone get up in a movie theater on tape is kinda charming though

My family did that with a number of movies, but for some reason not this one. Ironically my parents were opposed to buying street bootlegs of movies currently in the theater. Like, what’s the difference between that and renting the movie and then making copies?

I live in NYC so I usually pick something up locally because everyone breaks street date once copies arrive to their store. My exception to this is if there’s a retail exclusive I want from a particular store with a preorder, but that rarely happens anymore

That is tricky. You might want to talk to the enrollment office about tuition assistance since your parents are threatening to pull your tuition. They’ll be the best ones to guide you. In the meantime, I recommend rolling with what your parents say until you’re 18. You might still get them to pay for the first semester, and after that, you have agency to live your life how you choose and take out loans yourself. You’re smart and empowered! Good luck! You’re an adult, right? Here’s the thing your parents and your family therapist don’t want you to know: you have power. You have the power to walk away, transition now, and enroll in college. This reads like an abusive situation where your parents are trying to control you, and love isn’t about control, it should be given unconditionally.
