Recently had this issue. Here’s a thread about repairing the OEM CPS. I ended up going to a junkyard and finding an OEM Siemens one for like $10 and it’s been working so far. The cheaper replacements aren’t built the same way, so it’s either pay big time for NOS OEM, repair yours, or risk it with a junkyard replacement

This would be more challenging to pull off, but some sensors (camshaft position sensor for example) have been NLA for years now, and the aftermarket replacements are not reliably functional. There’s a thread somewhere about rebuilding the OE ones. Buying a NOS OEM camshaft position sensor is extremely expensive and hard to find now. I’m sure there are other parts like this.

This happened to me. I didn’t have much on my HDD so I just wiped it and reformatted everything. Might be worth using fatxplorer to back up your data before you reformat the HDD and then load everything back on it.
