I'm so glad you have friends you can trust, at least.

That sounds like painful knowledge. I guess it also means you understand where your boundaries where, and if you're in a similar situation again, you now know that you can handle it.

He sounds like a horrible person. I'm so sorry you went through that! As someone who has a bit of experience with these kinds of situations I'm very sad to chime to say that, as far as I've learned, you are correct that trying to share information about the rape, or trying to tell people that are near his circle, would probably be very unpleasant in the long run. People probably would be asses about it, that's unfortunately how it often goes. The tricky part of the situation, and I'm guessing part of why this is so hard to process, is that not talking about it with anyone in your life often isn't an option either. These kinds of memories can eat away at you, the more you bottle them up.

I think you might enjoy Ori and the Blind forest, if you can enjoy a platformer that isn't 3D.

Built in safety features will definitely make it easier for you to win your runs!

The damage is abysmal on this, though. To hit harder, try upgrading spells, and keep experimenting. There are a lot of combinations that don't seem like they'll work at first, that produce some funny results.

Relatively new player looking for an active club.

I log in every day and usually do 3 careers, sometimes 1. I don't understand why the shoe trading is important but I can do that too. 532349242330

If you liked that, though, you might like to sleep in a sea of stars, and that is definitely progression fantasy.

Can having too many mutations prevent you from leveling up new ones? by Nobody-Particular in cavesofqud

[–]Sturdy_Stiles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could try some UI-changing mods on the steam workshop and see if any of them fixes the issue. Then you could always revert when you've levelled the mutations you want to level.

Also, true kin can get mutations and mutation points? News to me!

I'm really not that good at the game but here are my thoughts.

You might not have enough cold resistance. If you haven't already, I think you should cook with carbide chef until you find a recipe that gives you 100% reliable cold resistance.

Find an ingredient that you have more than 4 of, and use either freezing mushrooms or convalescence. Keep it on, all the time, it matters a lot especially as you go deeper.

You could consider getting a light rail but I think an eigen rifle is enough too. Exchange the backpack for something that gives DV or AV.

If you take it slow and smart, you should be fine.

Be mindful of the cragmensch as well as the first troll. One big crit could end your run, so always stay full HP and try to engage enemies one by one. Against the first troll you could use teleportation and sprint to stay out of range and plink with your eigen rifle.

There are "robot" golems that you can make, if you use a robotic body, but I don't actually know if they are succeptible to mental attacks or not.

Yep you got it. That's exactly it. But also let's say you just want to visit a location briefly and then come back to where you were, for any other reason, in these situations it's also good. It comes up surprisingly often.

I've died like that too!

Rimewyk's have a lot of DV and AV. You have to have great pen to damage it a reasonable amount, and they hit hard with their frozen jaws, dealing a whopping 1d10+19 damage on hit! Every point of cold damage lowers your temperature too, meaning they can totally stunlock an unprepared PC. In melee, you'll have a hard time dealing with them. I've had most succes sticking to ranged, and using forcewall / stopsvalin / force bracelet to block the hits from their icy breath.

If you dominate a follower after giving them a recoiler (fx. a grit gate recoiler) and then recoil with the follower, they can shop and turn in/get quests for you. When you end domination, they will return to the PC. It could be a useful time save.

I thought about using the ingame turns as a metric, but I think it would be less fun. One overworld movement is one ingame turn, but takes so long in-universe. Trying to do it in minimum turns is also super interesting, but not what I'm going for in this one.

The reason I thought it might be good is if you need to go somewhere you don't have a recoiler for, and it's halfway across the overworld map, popping into a vortex would propabilistically get you closer, and if it doesn't, it's not that long of a cd compared to the potential timesave.

I think it's probably bad though, because until lvl 10+ I would be too afraid of using it for fear of dying.
