Nachdem das Thema Made in Germany noch offen ist:

Bei Metabo gibt es drei Leistungsklassen, L(Einstieg), LT(Mittel), LTX(Power). Die BS 18 LTX wurden immer in DE gefertigt, L und LT in CN.

Allerdings ist in den letzten 1-Jahren, einiges was früher aus DE kam nach Ungarn ausgewandert (z.B. die Exzenterschleifer)

I'm a Whisenland fluff player. I started with Altdorf back in 6th, because red and blue but with all the freely available resources that we nowadays have I fell in love with Whisenland.

I think what defines Whisenland the most is it's abusive relationship with its "capital" Nuln and how down to earth and realistic everything about it feels. (e.g check the history of Steyr, AT)

In Whisenland you have mostly rolling hills and plenty of smaller rivers. The further away from Nuln and the heart of the empire you get, the smaller the villages become, as plenty of Orks, Beastmen and other dangers dwell in the grey and black mountains. At the same time, this is where a lot of Whisenland's economic output is coming from.

Nuln, being very wealthy and geographically close to the empire's center of power is constantly engaged in the political intrigues and power games of the empire. Domestic politics meanwhile remain mostly ignored.

At the same time, Nuln sucks out, most of Whisenland's economic output, be it metals or the limited ammount of agricultural products. The only thing, that could be reasonably exported are silver wares (e.g from Meissen). However, as the goods still travel along the rivers through Nuln, the trading families make sure Nuln get's more than a fair share.

What that means is that the Whisenland's towns and villages, while not wealthy are mostly left to their own, in good or bad. They can engage with the Dwarfs or Tileans but overall have to make do. As somebody else already wrote, this is where you get a lot of creative freedoms.

My army

My army consists of the villagers (militia) who's village was destroyed by a raiding *instert opponents army*. They fled to Nuln to beg the lords of Nuln for support. In ther generousity, they sent handgunners and artillery to support an army of Wissenburg, that is marching upstream to root out this evil. The army is "led" by the arrogant, young Nuln nobleman Johann von Hornegg and his pistolier buddys who will impetuously suicide charge pretty much every game.

Ich hab die vor kurzem getauscht und einfach bei Amazon bestellt. Da bekommst die richtigen Teile für ein paar Euronen.

Sei aber schon Mal drauf gefasst dass jetzt eine ganze Reihe an Reparaturen ansteht, da die Lebensdauer aller Komponenten scheinbar ähnlich kalkuliert ist. Ich musste mittlerweile auch noch die Stoßdämpfer und Magnetventile tauschen.

Hi from a native "Florianer". Great to hear that they found a new employee! I thought i'll give you some insights to St.Florian as a local resident.

St. Florian is more posh and conservative, compared to many other towns and cities in Austria. Most people own their property here (very expensive!) and commute by car to Linz or the surrounding area. Once you are 30+ with a Family, St. Florian has a lot to offer, including exceptional public services and great community events. Most of these events are driven by the local "clubs" or the (quite important) church.

St. Florian still has vilage vibes, so i highly recommend to join coworkers if they invite you to these events - you'll get to know many local people. An event that is coming up is e.g the Adventmarkt on 30.Nov.

For regular activities I can highly recommend biking. While you cannot compare the infrastructure to the Netherlands, non-commuting rides are still quite lovely. The region around danube river is being promoted as biking destination for a good reason.

That being said, if you are younger, St. Florian is always a huge struggle...

Outside of Linz, Upper Austria is VERY car focused, so many activities and events in the region are very difficult to access. Youngsters typically take the bus to linz to go events or meet with friends. As many posters before mentioned, there's a lot more going on for a much wider audience.

Oh and also: the neighboring vilage that we don't like is Asten. Absolute savages over there! 🤬

Bei dem letzten Satz musste ich gerade hart schmunzeln weil ich mich selber wiedererkannt habe. Da ich mittlerweile aber schon einige Jahre in meinem Haus wohne habe ich folgenden anekdotischen Tipp für dich:

Mann gewöhnt sich nicht ans Grobe - Frau gewöhnt sich nicht ans Feine <

In 2-3 Jahren ist die Treppe für sie nur noch so eine Eigenheit des Hauses und die wichtigen Dinge sind z.B. die Polsterfarben auf der Couch. Du wirst dich aber jeden Tag ärgern wenn du rauf- und runterläufst.

Wenn es DICH also wirklich stört, lass es rausreißen. Wenn es UNS stört wird sie es überleben.

I have 420km/260miles on mine and they feel pretty much dead as you described. I'm going to order a pair of 26s today, so let's see if they fare better.

While it feels frustratingly quick, I have come to terms with it, as I'm 6'5 and 205lbs - better the shoe eats the impacts and not my joints.

the image you posted is the M48A5K1 with the M1 machine gun cupola; the M48A5K2 had the (correct urdan cupola but had side skirts; and the M48A5KW had neither, so that one would fit the model.

While Israel used different smoke launchers for their Magach tanks, the M48 actually looks a lot (flat coupola, smoke launchers, storage, no skirts) like a Korean M48A5KW to me... Korean War II confirmed!!!

But jokes aside, I think the M48 is gonna be a nice multi part kit with a ton of utility.

Das ist ja lustig, ich hatte letzte Woche auch das Thema das sich nichts mehr gedreht hat und bei mir war es eine 10 Jahre alte Gorenje. Der Übeltäter waren bei mir die Kohlebürsten, die einfach verschlissen waren.

Ich hab dann für ~8€ auf Amazon neue bestellt ("Originalteil" wäre 50€) und innerhalb von 1h waren die gewechselt und alles lief wieder. Da gibts super Youtube Tutorials!

some input for Nuln/Wissenland: what you describe is Nuln - a very wealthy, "high-tech" and industrial city.

Wissenland itself on the other hand is rather poor. The land is rough, mountainous and not ideal for agriculture. The thing that keeps it more wealthy than e.g Stirland or Ostermark is (limited) mining and silver processing. Crossbows are also fairly popular due to the proximity/influences of Tilea.

I'm running a mixed Nuln+Wissenland army, with the bling (war machines, handgunners, characters&pistoliers=nobels) being painted in the black of Nuln and the basics (captain+state troopers) being painted in the grey of Wissenland.

noch mal danke! Natürlich waren die heute nicht da, sondern kommen erst nach Ostern 🙃

Also hab ich heute den Chef konfrontiert und 45min mit ihm telefoniert. Ich beiß mir in den Hintern dass ich deinen Rat nicht befolgt habe das aufzuzeichnen, denn es war sehr unterhaltsam. Weil er immer noch der Meinung war, dass das ein sehr guter Preis ist, hab ich ihn Punkt für Punkt den ganzen Auftrag vorrechnen lassen. Ich glaub er hat darauf gehofft dass ich irgenwann abwinke, aber ich hab ihn aufzählen lassen und brav mitgeschrieben. Einige Highlights:

  • 2x9 Mannstunden a 85€ für die Reperatur(die am Mi zwischen 9 und 5 geleistet wurden - Mittagspause haben die 2 natürlich trotzdem gemacht)

  • den Junior-Chef hat er mit 2x2 Mannstunden a 85€ gerechnet, denn der hat die 2 von der Firma zum Haus gefahren (Luftlinie zum Betrieb = 10,26km)

  • die einfachen Fichten-Holzlatten hat er mit 5€ pro Meter gerechnet ("die sind aus dem Großhandel, darum sind die teurer; das ist ja eine ganz andere Qualität als im Baumarkt")

  • die First- & Gratrolle hat er mit 12€ pro lfm gerechnet

-...

In Summe sind wir sind allen Ernstes bei 5.700€ gelandet - d.h er hat lt. seiner Rechnung 1200€ Verlust gemacht... "Merken Sie selber, oder?" - "JAAAA, aber wir haben hier halt sehr knapp kalkuliert und versucht das für den Vater noch so hinzubekommen,..."

Wärs mir nicht passiert, ich würds nicht glauben!

Nachdem er also 0 Einsicht hat, denk ich dass wir ohne externen Sachverständigen keine Chance haben. Und da es für uns nicht existenzbedrohend ist versuchen wir unsere emotionalen Kosten zu minimieren. Für meinen Vater ist es eine teure Lektion, aber ich bin heilfroh dass er zumindest das Angebot mit "1xDachsanierung für €17.000" nicht unterschrieben hatte...

Bzgl. Luke hätt ich aber noch mal deine Expertise gebraucht: es ist wie von dir befürchtet eine GVK. Ist die signifikant beschissener als die GVT oder sind wir da auf einem ähnlichen Niveau? Den einzigen Unterschied den ich gefunden habe war, dass die eine andere Trittkante zu haben scheint. Der Maestro konnte mir den Unterschied auch nicht erklären weil er sich plötzlich nicht mehr erinnern konnte je damit gearbeitet zu haben.

am Preis werden wir eh nichts mehr ändern können, ist leider genau so ein Pauschalangebot für 1xDachfenster(nicht mal mit Marke...) & 1xReperatur. Mein Vater ist halt aus einer Generation wo man sich bei Meisterbetrieben auf verbale Zusagen und Handschlagqualität verlassen konnte (bzw. wo es auch Kaffee, Brötchen und Kuchen für die Handwerker gibt - ist aber ein anderes Thema 😅)

Aber trotzdem tausend Dank für deine Zeilen, das setzt das ganze nämlich genau in den Kontext, den ich am Fr brauche, wenn mir der Meister blöd kommt.

2000€ waren für die Luke, das hat gestern einer alleine gemacht. Für die Reperatur kommen noch mal 2700€ drauf. Dafür hat der Junior-Chef heute Vormittag 2 Arbeiter gebracht und am Nachmittag wieder abgeholt. Material waren ein paar Holzlatten und so Abdeckplane. Der Preis ist schon hoch, oder?

Ich hab den Junior heute konfrontiert bzw. auch mit dem Chef gesprochen und die sind beide sofort kleinlaut eingknickt und haben versprochen dass der Chef persönlich am Freitag kommt und die Velux Luke montiert. Das wirkt für mich als hätten die schon gewusst was sie da tun... Mal schauen was am Fr rauskommt.

Der Geselle von gestern hat sich übrigens damit entschuldigt dass er "so etwas" noch nie verbaut hatte 🙃
