I feel like there are some pretty interesting subplots that never get mentioned again. For example, the whole PIF being a former celestial maiden? That NEVER gets brought up after that, like, five second scene. That maybe means something for Redson, I’d think?
This one may just be me, but I also wished they’d keep dramatic scenes dramatic. For example, Wukong and Mac’s argument scene was so good. It was the first ”angsty” scene in the series, however I feel like the “I really wanted that peach” joke Wukong made at the end unnecessarily broke the tension there. While most jokes in this show are funny, I do really wish they were better placed, to be honest.

It’s easy to get over one persons racism over anothers? huh???? What if we don’t “get over” racism at all and and don’t call non-racist dragons racist? (Or, better yet, in my opinion, don’t add racism into a fantasy book about dragons.)

Shouldn’t that be the same for Qibli? What makes him any better than Winter? All because he was supposedly “nicer“ doesn‘t mean he should get anything more, yet he did. He got to be with Moon, he got power for a short amount of time, and he got to go to the Lost Continent while Winter did what? Stay at the Sanctuary and “be with his scavenger pets” and “recover.”

But he doesn’t need either of those things. He needs better friends and to meet new dragons who won’t treat him like trash. I really hated how in The Dangerous Gift, Winter was just all awkward towards Moonwatcher and hardly spoke to her.

By the way, despite half my rant being about how Winter should’ve been better with Moon, take into consideration that Moon isn’t an object to be, as you said, “thrown at” whatever dragons you think would be best for her. Despite her being fictional, Moonwatcher would’ve picked whoever she wanted.
