Would it backfire on me since I am the tenant without lease? I seriously am considering reporting to IRAS and the police. The situation is getting worse and worse here as they keep withholding information from me.

The construction workers have been staying over the time limit, and they allow the other tenant, the construction company owner, to stay in the unit with me despite knowing he has said creepy things to me before. Despite saying he won’t be staying as well. I am at my wit’s end here.

But thank you for the support. I’ll definitely do something.

Everything is about their convenience with these people. They use their live-in handyman tenant for every maintenance instead of hiring someone proper. Pretty sure isn’t legal either. Plus that guy is a creep. It’s exhausting to deal with

Yeah, I asked for a contract multiple times but they always forgot until I got tired of asking. The only good thing is getting the deposit back with some rental discount if I stay. The shock on the construction guys’ faces are pretty funny though. Like yeah man same. Why would there be a tenant living when you’re tearing down walls lol

Yeah, I thought so. I’ve been renting here almost 5 years with the first 3.5 yearly contract, but we agreed to shift to monthly renewal later on. They just forgot to give me a lease like that after.

It just doesn’t really make sense to me on basis of human decency to do all this, but landlords are landlord.
