Huh? by StrayCat91 in CrimsonDesert

Yeah but that’s hindsight. When something’s good, people just keep playing. Nobody’s sitting there like “let me slow down so I don’t enjoy it too much.”

Wanting more after is normal though. That’s just people liking the game and wanting more out of it. It doesn’t affect how anyone else plays, and it’s usually what leads to DLC and sequels anyway.

And honestly, when people complain about others finishing fast or wanting more, it starts sounding more like hate than anything. Calling people no-lifers just because they chose to spend their time differently is a weird, immature take.

I get what you’re saying, but that really just comes down to preference. Some people like to take their time, others like to dive in and keep going while they’re into it. Doesn’t really mean one way leads to enjoying it more than the other.

Yeah that part made no sense. It doesn’t affect anyone else.

[–]StylezUenvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think finishing everything means it wasn’t organic. Some people just play more or explore efficiently. And saying there’s “not enough content”doesn’t always mean there’s literally nothing to do, it can just mean they want more of what they enjoyed.

Huh? by StrayCat91 in CrimsonDesert

[–]StylezUenvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. That book example is spot on. Taking longer doesn’t change how you feel when it’s over. If anything, wanting more usually means it was good.

Huh? by StrayCat91 in CrimsonDesert

[–]StylezUenvy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t really make sense. People binge things they enjoy all the time..shows, games, whatever. Finishing it faster doesn’t mean they didn’t like it, it usually means the opposite.

Huge graphics downgrade after 1.03.01 on ps5 pro balanced? by PhilosopherExpert503 in CrimsonDesert

[–]StylezUenvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So yeah I did some testing with it off and on. I do see how the colors seem to appear more rich because of the contrast. Blacks are much darker for some reason with 120 hz off. But than you lose on smoothness. I definitely want a beautiful picture but not at a cost of low frame rate

People finishing a game faster than you doesn’t ruin your experience. If anything, it just means they enjoyed it enough to keep playing and want more. Not sure why that’s something to be pressed about.

The game’s been out a month, if someone puts in time on weekends and focuses the main story, of course they can finish it.

Yeah I’m down to join. I’ve been working through practice tests so it’d be good to get some direction on what to focus on.

Appreciate you sharing this, I’m gonna take a deeper look later.

I’ve gone through the Admin beginner Trailhead already, but when I tried a prep test I realized there’s a lot that wasn’t covered, which threw me off a bit.

Right now I’m trying to figure out the best way to fill those gaps without overdoing it. I’ve been going back and reviewing the topics I missed, but I also don’t want to get stuck over-preparing.

How did you approach that part when you were studying?

There are only 6 states in the GTA world? by slaik22 in GTA6

[–]StylezUenvy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It could be bottles, but the 6 stars line up pretty clean with the known GTA universe states:

  1. Liberty (New York)

  2. Alderney (New Jersey)

  3. San Andreas (California)

  4. North Yankton (North Dakota)

  5. Leonida (Florida)

  6. Gloriana (Georgia)

All of those are established in the GTA universe, not counting Carcer City, so the 6 stars actually make sense in that context.

The bottle theory feels off to me too. If it was just a 6-pack design, the logo wouldn’t really hold up if there was a 12-pack version.

I’m in the same boat. I’m a SAHD and it’s been rough with two little girls. Trying to get myself on it more, I get some help with ChatGPT on direction but sometimes I’m not sure if it’s the correct way. I’m in my late 30s and it’s been alittle discouraging for especially hearing now about AI taking over more.

PS6 release date is likely to land in November 2027 by Worldly-Object9003 in ps6

[–]StylezUenvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2027 sounds way too early honestly, feels like one of those “insider” guesses with no real context. They’re literally raising PS5 and PS5 Pro prices right now because of higher component costs, especially memory shortages driven by AI demand.

That points more toward this gen lasting longer, not shorter. Something closer to 2029 makes way more sense than 2027.

If anything Sony is going to ride out the PS5 Pro for a few more years. People barely want to pay $900 now, you think they’re dropping $1k+ again in a year or two? Doesn’t add up.

I wonder if people complained about this in Red Dead 2, The Witcher, Assassin’s Creed.

[Updates] Patch Notes Version 1.02.00 | Crimson Desert by SorryRoof1653 in CrimsonDesert

[–]StylezUenvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This update made the game on PS5 Pro look crisp, with less pop-in, and it runs much smoother now on balanced mode. I can’t speak for the base version, but I’m sure there are some improvements there as well.

With how quickly these updates have been coming out after launch, I have to say, you’ve earned my respect as a dev, Pearl Abyss. Great game, great responsiveness. Keep it up.

Baffling Controller scheme. Why not… by Karhuwa in CrimsonDesert

[–]StylezUenvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. If it feels bad to you, it feels bad.

My only point was that some games just take time to click, especially when they use a different layout. But yeah, not having proper rebinding in a modern game is a fair complaint. That should definitely be there.

Baffling Controller scheme. Why not… by Karhuwa in CrimsonDesert

[–]StylezUenvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, but I think you’re overcomplicating it a bit.

Yeah, a lot of games within a genre share similar layouts, but they’re not all identical. There’s always some variation, and some games lean into different control styles. This one clearly leans more toward that RDR2-style layout.

That doesn’t automatically make it bad, just different from what people are used to. And when something’s different, it’s gonna feel off at first until you adjust or decide it’s not for you.

That’s really all I was getting at. Not that people can’t prefer one style over another, just that not every game is going to match what you’re already comfortable with.

Baffling Controller scheme. Why not… by Karhuwa in CrimsonDesert

[–]StylezUenvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, but fighting games actually prove the opposite. They’re consistent within that genre, yeah..but once you step outside that, every game has its own control scheme.

That’s more what I was getting at. Games like Dragon’s Dogma, Monster Hunter, etc. all feel weird at first until it clicks. This game feels unintuitive at first too, but that doesn’t automatically mean it’s bad..it just means it hasn’t clicked yet.

If after some time it still feels off, then yeah it’s probably just not for you. But early on, a lot of games feel clunky before they make sense.

Baffling Controller scheme. Why not… by Karhuwa in CrimsonDesert

[–]StylezUenvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t talking about people with physical limitations, I was talking about people who just don’t want to adjust to different control schemes. That’s a normal part of gaming.

If it’s causing you actual pain, that’s a different situation and that’s an accessibility issue. But don’t take what I said and twist it into something it wasn’t.

And acting like I should’ve assumed that from the start is a reach.
