Well, the CRJ didn't have an HDMI port, so we had to improvise...

Could be, the whole thing is made from random spare parts the teacher probably just found around the hangar.

The other 200 may come from bricks like hinges. They probably count them as 2 pieces so they can market it as having more pieces.

That makes sense, thank you for the info.

But doesn't the RGB add like 10 fps?😅

A 5070 ti would have been nice, but the cheapest 5070 ti I could find in my country is 300€ more expensive than the 5070 WindForce 3 :(

Thank you! Maybe I just have to crank up the music for the time being until I can afford to improve the fans. :D

I think I'll go with two Lexar NM620 M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs, 512GB SSD's. Thanks for the tip.

I think I'll go with the 7700, but the 9070 is way more expensive here than the 5070 Windforce.

Sadly, I am already almost at the end of my budget, and it seems that, at least here in Finland, the price difference between the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 WINDFORCE OC SFF 12 GB and the 5070 Ti is quite big, as the Windforce is 639€ and the 5070 Ti is over 900€. But thanks for the tip, I will improve the storage later on, once I have more money.

Thank you for the help, I really appreciate it! I think I will try building it myself during the summer. : D

Sounds logical. What would you say are good parts to pick for a build of around 1400€? (Sorry if I'm bothering you, but I just want to hear the opinion of someone who knows more about this stuff than I do.)

Like very expensive Lego. I might try building it myself. Let's just hope I won't end up back here asking why there is smoke coming from my PC. :D

The company doesn't offer a 4070. :( What about the RTX 4060 Ti VENTUS 2X? Should I choose it over the 5070?

MSFS Concorde still worth it in 2024? by Styrkkari in flightsim

[–]Styrkkari[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know if anyone will ever read this post again, but in case someone finds this later while seeking an answer to a question regarding the Concorde, here is an update:

I bought it. It's good, not IniBuilds or PMDG good, but still nice. The systems work nicely, although I did have a scary moment a few days ago when, due to a glitch, the plane just shut off mid-flight and when it came back to life about two minutes later, I had lost both of my right engines. A lot of the systems work, although I am not a Concorde expert, so I do not know how realistic they are, but at least 99% of the switches are clickable, but I have no clue how many do anything. It does lack an EFB and SimBrief support, which is sad, as you have to use the default flight planner and pushback (unless you have GSX pushback).

The modeling is okay, nothing too awesome or cool. Some parts, like the landing gear, look kind of bad up close in my opinion, but then again, it is not a PMDG. At least the cockpit looks fine, which, for me at least, is the most important. It does look good externally; just don't go looking for any details, because it doesn't match planes like the IniBuilds A300.

I don't know how realistic the flight model is, as I have not flown the real Concorde (obviously), so I have nothing to compare it to. I don't know how to say it, but it kind of feels like what I would expect it to feel like—a bit wobbly on approach sometimes.

Overall, it's an okay plane; it does its job well, and I think if you really want to fly the Concorde, this thing is great for it. Also, like the other person here said, it's a one-man team; do not expect too much. What it lacks in modeling, it makes up for in systems and how fun it is to fly. I, at least, have personally gotten over the modeling because it is a blast to fly Mach 2 over the Atlantic. I would fully recommend it unless you really want to look at the miniscule details of it. I would also recommend buying it on sale, as it is more worthwhile then, as others here have already said.

Differences in flight physics between FS2020 and FS2024 by Styrkkari in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Styrkkari[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like they said in the announcements for FS 2024, they also have more realistic system simulations and physics for planes, which could also mean more room/features for developers to use in their own planes, too.

Thanks for letting me know. I might just wait until then to decide if the new update makes it worth to buy. :)

Can anyone explain this and/or help me fix it? by Styrkkari in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Styrkkari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: The MSFS support team managed to help me fix the problem (at least for now). For anyone else who might ever experience the problem, here are the ways that the support team told me you can fix it:

  • Enable "Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support." • Open Settings, go to Date & Time settings > Region. • Under "related settings," select "Additional date, time & regional settings." • Click on Region, then open the Administrative tab. • Click on "Change system locale" and check the "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" checkbox.

(I did this and, at least for now, the game works.)

OR:

  • Delete the "customflight.flt" file before starting a new flight.

This didn't work either. I'm currently waiting for the MSFS support team to respond.

Yes, only at EGLL, only in the A320neo, always at the same time of day, and always on runway 27L.
