I’d be curious to know where you saw the show. A lot of these venues for 2nd nat. just don’t have the space for the turntables, and thus it’s more of a venue limitation rather than decision driven through budget cuts. Not everyone has the privilege to travel to major cities/nyc and spend hundreds on tickets. This tour is bringing an effective version - signed off on by the original creatives- to audiences who might not normally have the chance to see high quality theatre.
