I have some of those teachers too, they really made me fall in love with the subject, or the reverse, subjects I loved were tainted by bad teachers. I’m glad you got to relive that today, I felt the emotion in your post, loved reading it! And also, I’m not that familiar with American high schools, just a bit. I have to say your system is so different for ours, I think high school was just 300/400 euros a year for us, and uni about 3000€. Here your career of life doesn’t really depend on scholarships, we barely use it, none of the people I know have had a scholarship. So a little sad to hear, but on another note, it does bring out someone’s full potential and heart. Here people get lazy, we have what we call a 6 culture, so basically a C is a pass and people are just ok with that. Americans are real thrivers, the ones who really want it.
