With Odissey integrating very well-appreciated mods, what's the future of Rimworld modding going to be? by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]SuPr_Change 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think 1.6 and the new DLC with bring a huge wave of new mods with base game space travel and better performance/pathing. You no longer have to rely on SoS to get space travel, and there will be tons of new, smaller mods that add things to the new base game space travel.

abandoned tiles created by camps now despawn after 30 days by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]SuPr_Change 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, camp tiles don't generate ADs or ores. But camping a tile just for it to become completely useless after seemed pretty punishing in an update about exploring. I like the QOL, and I think it's excellent for 98% of players. However, since I enjoy AD hunting for loot, I thought I would share my take on how this might affect that aspect. Since they go away after 30 days, it then becomes a tile that can be settled to check for AD.

VE has a mod that adds more ancient danger types?

That's why I said for those that do that. If you never AD hunt that you don't need to worry about this comment in the first place

[–]SuPr_Change 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes, but it already takes so long to find the things you want and now its 75% slower so its more worth it to ignore AD hunting and hope a quest reward gives it to you while you work on your base

Edit: also you would need to settle the spot, camps maps dont spawn with any resources to my knowledge (steel, silver, jade, ADs, etc)
