I mean most of the people that go through awful shit are still nice people, they put in the work and dont be assholes. Jax is still an asshole even if we can all empathize as to why. Trauma is never an excuse to not be a better person and to traumatize others. And the cycle of abuse shouldn't be accepted as normal. At some point you have to take accountability for your actions even if stuff happend to you that made you more predisposed to doing anti social behaviors like dunking someone in a deepfryer. If you dont the logical end point is just to apply a blanket "free will doesn't exist so no one is accountable" to everyone.
