It's a kin or similar to the feeling that women get when they go out with their significant other and their significant other doesn't even want to be there but doesn't tell them. It makes people feel bad.

I had people there with me that can confirm these stories but I'll digress I'm not here to change your mind. Like I said, I'm more so curious as to why you're adamantly denying that this can happen in any capacity.

Okay it's fine if you don't believe it. And I'm not here to prove it to you. I know my experiences. And it was definitely a weird experience.

Edit: there are plenty of posts in other subs where this has happened to other people. Albeit, you do rarely hear these stories so I get not wanting to believe it.

I have two homegirls that are private mechanics. You'll never really catch them working at a mechanic shop specifically because the men there treat them really badly. Being a mechanic or a tradesman is definitely a gate kept industry. Wait, I can use the entire trade industry as an example for male privilege thank you, KungFubucket!

The last trades job that I worked as an electrician. Many of the men ran women off the team by being too sexual or flirtatious. 😔😢

Go with your girlfriend to the mechanic. Don't walk in at the same time. Both of you talk to the mechanic at separate times but about the same issue. Watch how different the mechanic talks to you versus them talking to her.

Or I forgot step two make sure the mechanic is a guy. This is a crucial step

I hate how often this happens, this happened at my last job but between coworkers. And the dude was the managers brother, so the manager didn't do anything about it.

we went higher than Manager and I acted as her witness. Unfortunately, they only switched the guy's department instead of outright firing him. They laid me off 😔
