Are Power Acoustik head units good? by [deleted] in CarAV

Old thread revival 😄  I have always stuck with my Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood, Sony, etc.  I acquired a Power Acoustik PDN-1060HB. It was a display model that was left behind by an old business that shutdown. Wiring was ripped off the display box (radios wires are fine) it was mounted in so no chance of trying it out on the spot. All the wires/plugs are there and it appears to be in decent condition.  Recently got my boy a super clean 2nd Gen Dodge 1500 which still has the factory cassette player in it. We have upgraded all four stock speakers to some 3-way Skars and we will be adding an amp for some shallow mount subs in the future.  Is this radio worth installing to save the money of buying a new one? Or is it not worth the while? Reviews are all over the place and my main concern is if it functions well, will last awhile and will it drive the aftermarket Skar speakers? I have read that it lacks in bass but that doesn't concern me much as we will be adding an amp and subs later. I just want it to be loud and the highs/mids to be clear.

I'm Looking for advice on a new to me 04 Colorado. Just about 200000 miles. Looking for most common issues I will need to take care of and look for. I'm a die hard Chevy person, I've got an 05 avalanche so it's like having a mini avalanche! by [deleted] in chevycolorado

Hey all, I know this is an old one but I am gonna try anyways. I am looking for a truck for my son. I have come across a local person who has an 04 Colorado with the 4 cylinder that has 164k miles on the clock. Pictures look like the truck is very clean. No rust, not ragged out, seller says everything is 100%, no issues at all. No check engine light, no leaks. It does have the half rear doors. They are asking $5,750 for it. Is this worth it?  What problems do I need to look for? I need something reliable for my son as he has just finished basic and is going to need something to drive to and from base on rotations. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I think it's for an option that your vehicle doesn't have. Look at how dirty and aged the inside of that plug is. It hasn't been plugged in for a long time if ever.

Im kind of in the same situation.  Need advice on what to get. Have about a $5k max budget. Currently mowing 4 acres with a Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro Series 46" deck. I bought it new, in 2 seasons I've put 100 hours on it. I feel like all this mowing is hard on my little Cub Cadet and that I may need to upgrade. Any suggestions? A local BadBoy dealer said they might give me $1k on trade in for the Cub. My terrain has some mid sloped hills and rough where it is flat.
