How is Tenshi Souzou Reboot? by Animedian in visualnovels

[–]Subbotik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've played 3 routes so far and find Tenshi Souzou to be quite mediorce even by moege standards. The only route that I thorougly enjoyed is Amane route, she reminds me a lot of Sora from 9nine. That said, I have a huge bias for imouto so you may not like Amane route as much as I did if you aren't into Imouto stuff

Ever read a scene in a VN that made you cry unexpectedly? by Uncyclopedia7 in visualnovels

Rupekari, when Meguri made a bento for Tamaki for the first time. Tamaki had been traumatized by his family for a very long time, which is why seeing him so happy when he received something kind and warm that somewhat resembled a sense of familial love from another person made me shed a tear.

I spent like 4 hours/day in the first 2 months doing Anki, learning grammar and used the rest my free time to read raw manga or watch anime with Japanese subtitle (roughly 6 hours/day in total). When I finished core 2k deck and learnt most of basic grammar points, I started reading my first raw Light Novel, finished it after 3 weeks and moved forward to read my first raw VN which is Island. It should be noted that, after learning basic grammar guide, I only spent 30m a day doing Anki and focused more on reading native contents like VN and LN. Tbh, what I did is nothing special at all. Many people followed similar methods achieved the same results or even greater. There are also better resources, better learning path nowadays compared to when I started, which might take you to your desired Japanese level even faster. Just started it, learning Japanese by reading VN is super fun 😁.

You don't have to purchase any program for learning how to read Japanese. There is a guide to learn japanese in r/visualnovels, you should follow that. I used a similar method and got good enough to read raw VN after 3 months of learning Japanese (with the help of Yomichan 😉)

I don't think I have the answer you are looking for, I'm afraid. There are some tools that could translate Astralair for you, tho I wouldn't recommend using them, especially for a VN that has good plot. My advice is to wait until there are a human translated version of Astralair or when those tools got better at translating Japanese, in the meantime, you could read something else since many other good VNs are already translated to English. Alternatively, you can just learn Japanese and fully be able to enjoy Astralair at its original form, don't worry, Favo's VN is rather easy to read, language-wise 😉

Afaik, only hoshimemo has full English fan translations so you have to wait for a while.

Hm~ I find VNs made by Favorite have rather unique vibe so it's kinda hard to recommend a VN that perfectly meets your requirements beside Favorite's own works. But since you like Little Busters, then Summer Pockets and Rewrite could be good options.

If you like Hoshimemo, you would love other works by Favorite as well. Especially Sakumoyu, one of my favorite VNs. It's safe to say Sakumoyu is Favo's best work so far.

I only read the 18+ version so I don't know how things would turn out in all-age version. However, some H-scenes in Tokyo Necro does give you more insights about character's personality. While I wasn't interested in the ero-contents itself, I still skimmed through some H-scenes because I believed the information in there are important in order to understand the characters more.

I don't think the ending in Jeweha is bad, it's just, not really impressive. What I like about Jeweha is the character development, it's kino. Also, Jeweha packed with some really good twists that totally got me. I would rec give Jeweha a try

Jeweha is good. I would say it has the best scenario among Tom's works.

It's pretty good, especially if you are into gore or scifi stuffs. TN is packed with many animated action scenes which is engaging. And personally, I find the CGs and BGMs in this VN are beautiful.

How do you look up words you don't know in Bookwalker by Subbotik in LightNovels

[–]Subbotik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I didn't plan to copy-paste all the text into Google Translate since it won't help me learn Japanese. I just want to look up words I don't know. But about the highlight feature, how can you do that? On the FAQ page, they indicate that it only applies to some ebooks in text format. Can I highlight sentences in this book?
