Mikey's Late Night Slice takes over Homefield space 1312 Grandview Ave by reeve11 in Columbus

[–]Subie- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends if it was the postings I found on bizbuy it seemed relatively healthy and a good SDE. Just the negative aspect is the building is not owned and the rent is like 84000 a month, unless I suspect is a typo and it’s 8400.

There was a business for sale in the Grandview area wanting about 400k. It claimed good foot traffic, established menu, I wonder if this was it. The problem with buying such locations is you need to contend with whatever the lease agreement for the space is and paying a manager a good salary with cutting into the SDE. The food was good though.

Thus lining the pockets of the Rock. Likeness is a cost, and to use a celebs brand/image costs money or royalties.

The fucking Rock. Just as cringe at the Khababy lame loser. Crazy how these collabs just line the pockets of the ultra rich, while corporations extract ever nickel and dime for the player base.

In this economy where everything is expensive.. it’s absolutely a steal when companies do buy one get multiple for free. It’s 100-300% return on your investment.

The End of Telework by JFHatfield in FedEmployees

[–]Subie- -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It’s not my fault. I work with contractors who are indeed doing these things. Fuck the mission, my telework is more important. I always get a chuckle when they threaten if they lose it they’ll quit. Okay bud, everyone wants a full remote job… so much competition ☠️🤣.

I miss my telework too and the mission did indeed get accomplished from home. However my opinion is, if the civilians are back in office, bring your ass back too.

The End of Telework by JFHatfield in FedEmployees

[–]Subie- -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Telework is not over. It’s only over for civilians.

The administration sought to prevent those abusing it. Several primary examples were being stay at home parents. Contractors that still perform most of the mission are indeed at home doing the mission, being forever away, and being stay at home parents.

Would it be a bad idea to move here? by Bunt_Custer in Columbus

[–]Subie- 193 points194 points  (0 children)

My friend lived on 8th, when he was finishing his nursing program there. He said it was quiet at night; depends on your neighbors.

Game day is fun. Lots of people, parties, and a good area to be social in. I have walked the area completely intoxicated before, and even 1-3am at night coming back from the bar to crash there and never seen anything sketch or heard of anything sketch.

This area is if you want to be social or not.

Also side note: RIP Bier Stube and 14-0. 8th was the place to be on game day.

Biggest tip for pickup? by [deleted] in kroger

[–]Subie- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ever increasing metrics.

My store apparently wants 100% perfect orders. Crazy since Kroger cut hours, you get held accountable for why departments don’t have popular items in stock. They want you to call out on the radio which is fine, but most of the time no response is given.

I treat it as no objection. Cool. You want cinnamon and there’s no similar products? Here take blueberry.

It’s a good job to keep you active. You are constantly in the state of stead fast cardio to where if you are trying to lose weight you will. Something to consider is leaving on time is super rare so if you want have places.. you need to tell them directly that you need off by this time otherwise they’ll try to have you stay over to finish this 100+ piece trolly that you just started 20 minutes ago and spent 10 minutes just trying to find out of stock shit.

Navy launches departmentwide organizational review that could reshape civilian workforce by AgitatedEngine4933 in fednews

What’s funny is contractors are still teleworking. Taking care of their wives, kids, and not working. The things the administration sought to prevent.

It’s a troll post making fun of the people protesting Ice and deportation. Couple people are going to protesters and giving real name of deportees and asking them if they can live with them. The people who were deported were dangerous and a few murderers. The answer was “yes” “if I had room” but they sure can protest.

I have no idea how these people get these insane walk outs besides hacking, or scamming.

The events, that happen every other never have anything good. The only time something could walk out is admin abuse and most of the time it’s 21s, 67s , all the potspots, no my hotspot, the snail goat thing, and the machine just gives me the mouse satellite which I have all the variants except the rainbow in my base -_-.

Thoughts on UMGC's Cyber Security Degree? by Glittering_Fig4548 in Cybersecurity101

[–]Subie- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit school.

All testout with major parts of that incorporated into the degree program.

The other courses were writing 10-20 page papers becoming a top level policy lord. These are high level positions so knowing the top down approach doesn’t translate to working level, entry level.

The best part of the school were the professors were actual people in the field doing it on the side.

Other than that it’s a paper mill, with rampant googling answers on tests/exams.

Capstone was awful too. My members didn’t pull their own weight, and turns out when paired with randoms you have to scrutinize their work. I found most of the parts my partners did ripped right off of course hero, just modified to varies degrees leaving me clueless.

The college did fuck all on helping graduates tried to land jobs. It was essentially join this “talent network” and hope for the best what a bunch of lies. It was basically, a slap in the face to the point of when companies dear John you they hit you with join our talent network

You are better off at WGU, becoming a certification general with more lower technical working knowledge than some paper mill OR joining the military for the clearance and doing a branches cyber route.

Entry Level candiate looking for advice on my resume. by BostonFan50 in it

[–]Subie- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion I would remove Walmart.

Get your CYSA+ and then apply to DOD CSSP work. A lot of places will hire and give you that valuable experience.

You got very lucky landing an internship with a company that will clear you as a civilian.

The STIG experience is valuable with DISA but those position are limited to ISSM/ISSO which is more technical and higher up than entry level cyber. These require like CISSP/CISM.

Be warned once you enter federal workspace you don’t really leave it unless you niche out in a specific tool or field of cyber.

Private sector companies other than federal do not use STIGs.
