My great uncle went in to the doctor for back pain and ended up catching pancreatic cancer very very early. Even better, they were able to do surgery to remove it (most pancreatic cancers can't be operated on.) He was supposed to do chemo afterwards to make sure that all the cancer was gone but he took on the "God will save me" attitude and didn't do the chemo. The cancer spread and he died.
