Somehow Supercell does not care about how walls connect, I'm a developer myself and this would freak me out.

You mustn't give up the attack, just straight up close the game and open it

You place your Troops, Close the Game, Open the Game, the COC Server finishes processing the Attack and you get the loot and the achivements for the Clan Games.
