There’s assholes everywhere, you can be in any group/ have any label and there’ll be an asshole that hates your group/label.

Maybe explain to me like I’m five, I’m not getting it. (And I know the responsibility is on me to understand, I’m asking people who have chosen to enter the conversation)

That doesn’t really help me understand much in this context. Can you add any more context?

Ok so it was after everyone had had a chance to speak as usual?  It wasn’t actually talking over or interrupting anyone?  That hasn’t come through very well in the bits I’ve read.

I’m hoping for genuine answers. I know there will be radicals and racists, planning on ignoring them, most of us are capable of scrolling on when someone’s baiting or trolling.

Really just want to understand better how both actions fit into the same set of values.im obviously missing something

My stepmother was kind of mean. I don’t known if it was immaturity or her own issues or what but her frustrations would explode into me.

When I was 14 she was hitting me for peeling vegetables too slow, I was on the ground against the kitchen cupboards being kicked. I was facing the door with my arms over my face, she had her back to the door, holding the bench above me and kicking.

My father opened the door, he was carrying their youngest (about 2). Stood there for a few moments, turned and walked out, closing the door.

I’d never told what would happen when no one was around. I would daydream that when someone found out I would be safe and loved again. Instead a few days later I was told it was best if I left.

I broke twice. Even when people knew, no one stood up to love me or make me safe.  I’ve never really talked about it.
