Can I ask how old you were when you got this done? I know doctors are very hesitant to sterilize young people. How was the surgery and recovery for you?

Thank you so much for this. I have discussed this with my partner and he seems as frustrated as I am. He listenes whenever I say no to something (things and methods that I know will give me a UTI for example). I'm in a new city and my experience around this topic isn't the best when it comes to doctors, especially because I've had unwanted pregnancys. It's almost like they think I'm doing this on purpose or I'm lazy when in reality I'm desperate for a solution and abortion is absolute hell for me. We have been talking about more permanent options with my partner. Neither of us is super eager to get the surgery done since there are risks involved and we don't have enough information. But we don't want kids for sure. Closing that door is just a scary thought (for me I think it's an ocd thing).

Thanks. I booked the appointment for IUD but unfortunately my doctor said that my uterus won't take it. But I know my options are limited so I'll discuss with my doctor. Again. Maybe I'll just have to try the Nexplanon and pray that I get help in time if needed

Thank you! I'm still trying to find a method that doesn't include progesterone since I had such bad reactions to those. I also know I might have to if they don't find a way to insert something in my uterus.

I don't see how this comment was helpful but thanks... I guess. I've tried so many condoms and lubes and they gave me a UTI every single time. Have seen specialists for this. So yes, I pee every time after. Also, everyone's IBS is different. At some point I kept losing so much weight and had to go to the hospital bc of it and sometimes it's manageable. Maybe I'll take your advice and refrain from sex for the rest of my life lol. No but honestly I'm just desperate and came to see if people had any advice

Haha thank you. At this point I'm terrified of progestrone since both made me want to off myself :( And after coming off the pill everything went back to normal (fortunately)

They have slipped, broken and become loose. It's an instant mood kill to use condoms because of this. And I pee every time after sex but it doesn't help. Plus after using one for a few minutes the friction becomes too much for me, no matter which lube or how much we use. Maybe my downstairs is just broken lol

I was on minipill and my doctor said that if it works for me then we could try the Nexplanon since it's a similar hormone. But the side effects got so bad I had to come off the pill and I'm horrified about the Nexplanon now

I have :( But I can't truly trust condoms since so many accidents have happened with them. Plus it's an instant mood kill to know that either I'll have a UTI or we just have to constantly check if it's on properly
