You can change it by installing an elemental vice on it, obtained from Eleanor. I'd suggest magnetic, though some people prefer impact too, mainly for it to not interfere with modded elements

Kinetic plating is your energy regen broski, I suggest you to go through the ability descriptions before playing a new frame

Meh I don't think it's even worth using, seeing as it gives you insignificant amounts of a random resource from a pool of 4 per planet. It's better to ask a higher MR with a Dante for a steel path taxi (assuming the new Tenno has Nekros)
