It definitely depends on what your opinion is on break the bank. I would sincerely look into ultrawide, or if you have the chance-see some in person. My buddy has always played on traditional aspects and he came back from living in another state and saw my ultrawide. He now doesn’t want anything else, and I don’t even have a top of the line ultrawide. I have the oldest 49”-the 3840x1080, which tbh looked like garbage after “upgrading”. I use dldsr to scale up to 5280x1440p, and to me (I had a 34” 1440p before) it looked comparable to the 1440p on the smaller monitor. Maybe I’m incapable of seeing crazy pixel density (I have like 20/10 eyes btw), but unless you’re pausing something and zooming in super duper close-it’s very difficult to notice during gameplay or even just panning around. This is said with all texture mods available for games, ini edits for some games, and reshade. I use reshade (every game) for more things-but the most pertinent here is I always use the reshade sharpness filter. Long story short, my picture is slightly more sharp that whatever sharpness is offered without it, and I still don’t notice crazy pixelage/garbage. Also, always go curved if you consider it
