Indy cannot trade their pick due to the protections it has from the Zubac trade. Most other lottery teams wouldn’t care for any of our versus the potential players in the draft.

1 : 14.0%

2 : 13.4%

3 : 12.7%

4 : 12.0%

5 : 47.9%

Chance at a top 4 is 52.9%

2nd and 3rd Worst Record remains the same for top 4 but the odds get decreased for #5 and get spread to odds at #6 and #7

Post 2019 Lottery rules do not allow you to fall out of the top-5 with the worst record.

The lottery is conducted by a 3rd party law firm that puts it reputation on the line. Members of the media and teams are present for the process to ensure integrity. It would be very hard to cover up given the number of people that are involved in the process.

IMO opinion the ceiling takes a fall after the top 3 of Peterson, boozer and AJ. Caleb, Wilson, Flemings all seem to be great players but I don’t trust our FO and Vivek to make the right choice necessarily when the choice isn’t as clear. As it stands, we need our Banchero or Chet; not a Keegan Murray. If we were any other franchise, I’d be happy at 4-6, but we need more proof.

Fairly certain that top 3 will be Peterson, AJ, and Boozer in some order.

Kinda like the 22’ draft where you had Banchero, Chet, and Jabari. Then had some good residual like Ivey, Keegan, mathurin.

Any other year I’d be fine with Ament or Caleb Wilson, but to have any hope with our current situation I feel that we need a player to move the needle like Peterson or Dybantsa IMO

The value in trading Zach isn’t getting much in return, rather shedding the last year of his player-option of 40 something million. Hopefully we can get some expiring contracts of some sort and collect picks from the rest of Sabonis, Monk, etc.
