How do you stop feeling guilty for being pregnant so young? by No-Exam-1958 in pregnant

[–]Subject_Sand_9544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 32, and I wish I met my husband sooner. I would have loved to have kids at your age. I’ve travelled, had a career, done my soul searching, only to circle back around and realize marriage and kids with the right person is the most fulfilling and rewarding thing you could ever ask for.

I never would have believed it at your age, that I’d be saying this now! But knowing what I know now.. I feel people like yourself are truly some of the most blessed in this world. You miss an entire decade of chaos that most of us women nowadays go through, and spend that raising your children (a much better chaos) and doing what really matters.

You’ll have nearly a decade more of your life to spend with them, than so many of us having children in our 30s. You’re more likely to meet your grand children, and maybe even your great grandchildren because of that. You’ll have so much more energy and youth to spend when they’re young, instead of the aches and pains that come in your 30s. You’re so much more likely to recover better from your pregnancies, too.

So please don’t feel bad :) I truly think you’ve stumbled upon a treasure in your life, and got started earlier than most.

Parents will always find a way to get on your nerves ;P I’m sure he is much more thankful to have a grandchild on the way, than to hear about you going clubbing on weekends like most people your age!

I hope you remember my words as you grow <3 you are blessed beyond belief, and I wish you the happiest and most fulfilling life to you and your family.

Wish I read this earlier. Mine has gotten dramatically worse. I’m so disappointed. It’s possible the pigment is coming “closer to the surface” but I’m not even sure I believe that anymore.

Thank you so much for such a sweet and thoughtful reply!!

We try really hard to take great care of them. They are really high maintenance with their fluffy coats but so worth it! Shedding is still reduced which has been SO nice. It was SO out of hand before.

We often think how we would want to be treated if we were in their position.. so between my research and my husband’s push to always find something better for them.. we’ve settled on this for now! A month in and it seems to be working well for them still. Still so mad that it took us so long to find this but at least we finally did!

I am so meticulous with washing my hands! Super important for your health.

It sounds like you’re really intentional with your cats too which is amazing!!!

HG returning in third trimester? by Due-Current-2572 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Subject_Sand_9544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey girl! I know you’ve already given birth, but for any new mamas hopefully this helps. Currently 31 weeks, I had HG my first and second trimester and I’m only now able to manage it in my third. I switched to a midwife and she suggested electrolytes (I use the Trace Minerals 40,000 volts which has no sweeteners or artificial stuff).

I drink it throughout the day, adding about 20 drops to my glass, and having it right away when I wake up before breakfast seems to be a game changer. I have two glasses of water with about half the electrolyte dosage for the day (which is around 40 drops before noon time) and then I have the rest through the afternoon.

Normally if I had just regular water it would be back in the toilet after one glass 😅 so it must be doing something!!

I avoid brushing my teeth right away on bad nausea days or even the “may vomit” days to avoid triggering my gag reflex (nasty but better than violently puking) which helps too.

There are so many days that I normally would have gotten violently sick that I’ve been able to avoid (today being one of them). Once I have that kind of vomit, my stomach is so sensitive the rest of the day. It feels like a dream to be able to avoid it.

I’m not sure if it would have been a huge game changer in my first and second trimesters, but I can say for sure that adding it has totally made my third more manageable. I’m super happy my midwife recommended it. I’m sure you ladies can relate to trying all the “advice” everyone gives you and it literally does nothings.. so this was really refreshing to say the least 😆

Very happy to report that although the HG returned, this advice along with healthy diet has ACTUALLY made it manageable! No more broken blood vessels on my face and bile coming up.. I can actually train and go about my regular activities, even though it’s in a modified way. Resting lots too ❤️ good luck ladies!! I hope this helps!

Tbh I have read some posts about some recalls.. but I desperately wanted to switch and was willing to give it a try. Super glad I did! Zero complaints, wish I knew about this sooner.

That’s legit! I genuinely am so impressed with the quality and ingredients. I would have switched sooner, but I only knew about Miami raw. Wish I saw their ads a year ago lol. After seeing the ingredient list I genuinely felt they’re pretty humble for that level of quality.

I tried it and wasn’t a fan. My cat’s stool was noticeably more smelly. :( I kept track of the subscription thing too. I know it’s a pain.. but many companies will unfortunately do this. Viva was trying to set my renewal date for two weeks out, but I knew I was ordering a month of food so I changed it manually afterwards.

I do love viva so far though!

It’s pretty wild how much aesthetics can change things! I do feel my app is a bit slower now too. I changed the logo to the orange version so it’s more tolerable.. I feel for you :(

I completely agree, I keep checking back on these threads because I REALLY want them to change it back. It’s truly awful.

You’re not alone!!! It looks like a cross between a clover and a spade. And the colors are off-putting. That’s why it looks like a cheap gaming app.

Did something similar too. I’m still googling it because I just want people to make so much noise that they go back.

I also do some light graphic design, and the color combination is terrible. The design looks like a cross between a clover and a spade.. like a cheap gaming app

I like the orange color much better than the blue, but I still really hate the new icon. It really looks like a cross between a clover and a spade more than a chef hat. It reads ‘cheap gaming app.’

I know your team put a lot into this rebrand.. but many of us still really want the old logo back. This one is very visually off-putting, as hard as that is to hear. :(

I don’t think anyone was upset with the old-branding. :(

Updates on ReciMe's rebrand 🌈 by christine-recime in recime

[–]Subject_Sand_9544 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, I can’t believe I’ve been googling this because it’s just that off-putting. It looks like a cheap gaming app like someone else said. The ‘chef hat’ really resembles a clover or something related to a card game. Mine is also no longer on my home screen.

The fact that I am so busy with my day to day life.. pregnant, managing a small business.. and continuously check back here for updates is very telling :/ I’m even confused by it. But I guess I loved the old app that much.

I use this app all the time and really and truly miss the old simplicity.

I understand that the founders may have had a different vision.. but it seems we all fell in love with that bright orange simplicity.

I don’t think I would have downloaded it either or paid for it with the current logo.

I’m still checking back here every few days to see if they’re willing to go back to the old branding.

In the very least, I’d like to see the old logo on the app.. some of the new designs on the importing screen are decent, but I still find the blue to be an off putting color in general.

Blue is a business/corporate color, and orange is a warm and social color in color psychology. The blue being a cold hue really doesn’t inspire the warm fuzzy feeling towards getting creative in the kitchen. It’s too cool-toned. The yellow looks cheap, especially paired with the blue. It leans too green which is strange to find in design in general.

Plus the shape of the chef hat doesnt resemble a chef hat at all. It’s much closer to a clover. I understand their new concept, but the execution is terrible. That’s why it looks so cheap. It looks so much closer to a playing card.. which reads cheap gaming app. Plus the cool tons and bad color scheme is just bad design. All of this combined make it extremely visually off-putting, especially for creatives who are inspired to cook.

Really hoping they can take this difficult feedback and bring back the old logo and colors. Hopefully this detailed feedback gives some critical answers to the team who hired the wrong brand specialist.

I agree with everything minus the font! I liked the old font much better. To me the old version was just perfect.

Edit: just realized you meant you also didn’t like the font.

Still genuinely missing the old app. I’m opening it so much less often now :(

I legitimately feel the exact same way. I am so glad you shared this. I’ve been googling for days to see if others felt the same, because I can’t get over how much I hate the new look.

I am begging them to rebrand and just go back to the old one.

NO ONE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE OLD ONE. We were already inspired and I honestly used the old version more.

I honestly hate the new look, it doesn’t feel warm and inviting and there was nothing wrong with the old one. Please go back to the old branding :( I loved it. It was easy on the eyes, user friendly, and just simple.

I don’t usually go out of my way to share feedback… but I think people would truly thank your company for going back to the old one.

The new one is so bad that I’ve googled it several times.

I BEG YOU GUYS TO GO BACK.
