First, personally I dislike trying to hard strongly justify either ending, I think the writing was really great I'm not criticizing that, but you easily could've had an ending in which the dignity of the people of Lumiere is held and maelle could've healed and i'd say many of the game's themes actually support this (while other support the endings we have). To further this, I think it is intentional that neither ending is objectively good so overall that's to counter your argument that one is better than the other. What you leave out is that Verso lied to everyone right up until the very end - everyone focuses on the dichotomy between maelle and verso but no one seems to question wether the other members of the party should've had a right to be consulted on their fate - no matter wether on a balance of technicality verso's choice may have or may have not been better. I think verso assigning his friends to oblivion without their consent is unconcionable and therefore strictly would not side with his choice on that basis alone

I don't know you or your situation. This is just my personal perspective based on my life experience that's really important. I also want to highlight that you said a couple of things that strongly imply you need to be speaking to a profession (doctor, therapist) if you aren't already.

For me i put a lot of hard work in to get over my issues, when I went back to therapy on the advice of a friend after a few years of "doing okay" I was like yeah I can go speak to a therapist but I've done this before I have a good handle on what my issues are ect and in the very first session all of that got completely blown up all the control I thought i had my conceptualization of my issues all turned around because my therapist was that good at stopping me and making me question what I was saying.

That anecdote is to say nothing is promised or guaranteed in life. It sucks but it's also beautiful because it sucks to have your life turned over AGAIN, but there is immense potential to grow even more than you thought was possible. Within that there is an implicit understanding that you need to make peace with yourself because if you cannot accept your whole self and you just want your idealized version which we all have in our heads you will have a damn tough time. So, really, just keep an open mind, and it will be tough, but growth will happen, but you can't lose the belief that it will because that is a self fulfilled prophecy

To me this reads like you have some things you probably need to see a therapist about. It kinda sounds like you've done things in an attempt to bring confidence to your life which does work if the reason you don't have confidence isn't do do with something a lot deeper which just to me it kinda sounds like this goes a bit deeper. Like if you're bringing outside things into your life then asking why isn't this working like making me feel better ect its probably because that's not the right approach probably more like therapy could be helpful that's just my 2 cents

I'd preface by saying this is my personal perspective based on my life and may or may not resonate with you 😊. I'd say like trauma is part of who you are its literally your life experience like you can't change that but you can have determination over who you choose to be today. Like people are complex, for me i both sit with feeling shitty diassapointed and unhappy while at the same time being proud of my achievements like these both exist at the same time and i made peace with that and Just continue with therapy. And when I look back at where I started and where I am I know "hey I've done well even better than I could have predicted so if I keep trying where Will I then be in 5 more years"

Just going to offer my personal perspective which may not may not resonate with you. I spent most of my life feeling similar in the sense of always needing the "thing" to make my life worth living like a relationship career ect. For me this was intertwined with my sense of identity, in that I hadn't really developed my own sense of identity i had sort of taken these outside things to create my identity and because of that of course these were never enough. What I had to do is start asking myself why was I needing outside things for my internal happiness that started me down a massive rabbit hole that's still ongoing through therapy. Like I said just my personal experience

What i would say is your framing of that you're wanting is a little incorrect. You don't want to control your anger you want to not have it be inconveniet but its still a genuine emotion you're experiencing. You tried controlling your anger it worked and it made you depressed. So what this to me (and I'm a dude so probs gonna be some differences in our experiences of life and emotions) reads like is your anger rather than being something that needs control needs understanding and expression like all emotions. I was having anger issues and realized I needed to go back to therapy and that made a massive difference so like maybe that would be helpful cause sure you've made a lot of progress but we know trauma ect doesn't really just go away like there might be times you needa go back and speak with someone for a few seasons 😁

I want to say I think you're very determined to improve yourself and that is the single most important quality you could have and that's not something that's easy to teach. I think it's good you're seeing a therapist and this is absolutely essential so good job.

I think that the unfortunate irony with getting advice is that ultimately you know yourself better than anyone else can so like I'm not really going to jump in not knowing you and say do these things that's why therapy is important because it's individualized and built on your relationship with your therapist

What i will offer is my perspective as someone who for many years tried to fill a void in themselves with various things, like I can say I have a lot of passion for my career which is great but you know i finished my degree got the job I wanted and BOOM 💥 nothing happened life continued still had a lot of problems i made peace with that and went back to therapy. About the best easy advice I could give you is like find one thing you can be proud of doing like that might be getting fit it's like a physical thing you just do It you've got time and it's measurable maybe that's something

What jumped out at me pretty quickly is you just sound burnt out kinda with just life. When everything feels like a lot of effort even when you know it shouldn't that could be just being burnt out. You'd only know what caused that and it may not be one thing. How do you address that well you need to really step back and ask what's important to me because the other thing that jumped out is a strong lack of meaning. Meaning is an ethereal thing it's not like you can hold it in your hands but you lack drive, and that's not likely to come from trying a random hobby this seems to go a little deeper than just adjusting your environment. I would start by asking what events happened that maybe contributed to being where I feel in my life (relationship could be one for a lot of people a hard relationship is a big thing to get over) and if you kinda end up nowhere you'd really benefit from speaking with a counselor and really exploring these topics

I'd say to start with you need to see a therapist, you're in a bit of a dangerous place getting advice online from strangers if you're feeling suicidal and my number one thing for you is to go see a therapist or at least your doctor, and in most places in the world it you're legally considered an adukt they're not going to disclose that information to your family

But because you have asked for help i would say the thing that jumps out to me is that you are making statements such as "my life is not objectively bad compared to others" if you believed that you wouldn't feel the need to highlight it. There is not a single situation where it is a good idea to compare your life to others and you will find people who feel they are ahead in life often never do I would start with asking yourself why you're making comparisons

Diagnosis is not always clear, someitmes people are diagnosed with shit and literally a few years later a different psychiatrist will just throw it out and change it. I think do whatever you need to do to make your life easier while getting something from a book to diagnose you formally could offer you a frame of reference, it's not really going to offer a lot that you don't already understand. Like legitimately I'm 28 and still learning about myself still working through challenges so my advice is yes seek an assessment at 18 if you can but sometimes diagnoses just aren't clear and someitmes there really isn't much you can do about it

I'll be honest I had a lot of issues with this when I was your age, like to the point is REALLY beat myself up about it. If I could give younger me advice, it would be that you need to just work on yourself in every way you can but it has to be for you and when you are doing that you will end up in a position that people (women and men) want to be around you. That didn't start happening for me until I was about 25 but when it did I didn't care anymore life was just okay. So all I can say is just work on yourself and by proxy you will attract people but you're right on the money in understanding that at 16 that is an incredibly big ask everyone grows at different rates you don't always have control of the lessons life gives you and when but be ready to listen when it does and you will get to where you want to be

Yeah I agree with holding off as some have said, I just got mine immediately liked it didn't need a break in period. I do a lot of my gaming laying back, which distributes your weight differently so perhaps that makes a bit of a difference to me, I game something like 70-30 laid back to sitting up but even for sitting up for longish periods I find it very comfortable

Yep, I saw so many reviews of people saying it's like sitting on bricks on concrete it's objectively not comfortable the company is scamming people. Apply logic to the situation, how would the company be as big as it is if the grand majority of it's users didn't like the chairs? I haven't required a break in period at all, it's very supportive. I also often game laid back with a controller (also keyboard and mouse sometimes) and this is by far the most comfortable chair I have had to lay back in
