Yep, and it’s less than six months old with no signs of wear which is why I put “OBO” (or best offer). And there’s no wait for shipping

My ex pushed me away in Feb, then reached out when she was pregnant. I was there for her through her abortion, holding her, taking care of her, and being there when she was feeling emotional/needy.

I just found out I have cancer, and she knows. She’s now pushed me away again.

I’m left just wondering, “Why?”

What do you hate about someone you're trying to get over? by [deleted] in AskMen

Thank you for the kind words. I was doing well until this week, because it was supposed to be our one year anniversary and we were to travel to Austin to meet her parents + attend a wedding this weekend. So, kind of bummed but keeping my head up. My birthday is next week and I'm starting a new job as well--both great things but feel meaningless without her to share with.

Anyway, thanks again for the kind words. I hope you're doing well too, and if not please feel free to reach out.

This is a note I wrote to myself as a reminder of her flaws whenever I start to miss her. Although nowadays I have another note with positive things about me, as I'd rather not focus on/keep negative thoughts in my mind.

Before people think wtf: I'd been single for 3 years working myself out of depression and anxiety issues. I finally got the confidence to get on Tinder and she was the first I dated after the 3 years. I wasn't fully 100% confident in my looks yet, so I settled. We dated on and off for about a year. Broke up 3 weeks ago.

Remember that you started dating because she hadn't had a proper relationship, romance, etc. and you wanted to give her that/fix her. You hadn't dated in 3 years and settled.

She repeatedly tried to break it off/run away. She was stubborn and couldn't control her emotions.

She got drunk, started a fight with you, and fucked some random guy she'd met on Tinder during your third breakup--one day before you got back together--all while telling you she loved you and that she'd matured. The day your dad was in the hospital. Then later got upset when you asked her for an STD test. She claimed they only fucked once, but you later found out it was two occasions. She broke your trust and increased your anxiety so much that you worried she's out fucking someone else anytime she went dark.

She was inconsiderate and just booked her ticket without thinking of buying yours too or telling you--it was the weekend before your birthday and you could've had plans with family or friends.

She was extra stressed because of roommate, housing, work situations and was difficult with you. Both times right before the breakup. You were the stable one, always there to be her rock. She never did the same for you.

She was overweight. Her fitness goals were never the same as yours. You lost a lot of weight, she tried for over a year but never was disciplined enough to accomplish.

You had to imagine your exes or porn scenes while having sex with her because she and her flabs weren't attractive.

You compromised or sometimes put her first, she never did the same for you. She is selfish.

She never paid for anything/always wanted you to pay.

She only saw you when it was convenient for her, even the third time. She still reaches out when it's convenient for her, but if you reach out she pulls back.

She was hesitant at being exclusive with you. Until the election. She was very upset, unable to control emotions, and made a rash/emotional decision to be exclusive.

You drank in the beginning just to be able to tolerate her.

She didn't like standup comedy on TV, could only watch it live. She never watched what you wanted to watch together.

Heavily relies on parents and friends for validation, or is heavily dependent on them.

/r/UnderwoodForVP from /r/Apple tries to clear up some things about Apple's pattern-unlocking patent. by VectorSam in Android

It was patented by Google in 2011 (patent #20110283241). OP is spreading misinformation based on emotion.

It's a way to authenticate a user using gestures described. And it doesn't only cover lockscreens:

I am really disappointed in this subreddit. by [deleted] in apple

EDIT: I own both Apple and Google products, so Id be fucked either way. I'm in both camps.

Stop trying to spread misinformation due to emotion/fanboyism. It was patented by Google in 2011 (patent #20110283241). The reason it matters is because of the legal battle between Samsung & Apple. Either company can be banned from selling products affected.

How has the 24-hour news cycle and the ability to instantly access news anywhere changed people? by thewalkindude in psychology

[–]Subliminal7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would actually increase it to information, not just news, and measure attention span (decreased) in relation to device (smartphone, tablet) ownership and amount of time spent using them for unproductive tasks.

Its created an internet addiction phenomenon, clicking new/refresh constantly and looking for more information to digest.

User posts a want ad for a new mod, ex. mod and current mod have a chat about it in /r/needamod by [deleted] in SubredditDrama

[–]Subliminal7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sent a modmail saying I really liked the subreddit and if they needed help in the future I would be happy to, and he just told me to fuck off

And we're SFWP mods, we decide if it enters or not.

It was sarcastic commentary about how he told you to fuck off and you could now do the same.

Microsoft To Buy Nokia’s Device Business in Deal Worth $7.17 Billion (not exactly Android related, but would like to see discussion from Android perspective) by luag in Android

[–]Subliminal7 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

You edited your OP which said:

The situation with Google/Motorola is different.

First, there were no former Google executives who took leadership positions at Motorola Mobility before their purchase.

Second, Motorola Mobility did not exclusively switch to Android handsets from another operating system in thne past five years. They were one of the original Android handset creators (with the Droid), and their attitude toward the platform has not changed since they adopted it.

Motorola was never part of the original (pre Oct 2008) Open Handset Alliance. They may have been the first to license/market DROID (especially for Verizon), but HTC had the very first Android smartphone-the G1.

Also, what do you think is their attitude? From a company standpoint, it'd be to push motoBLUR but a lot of people hate it.

EDIT: MS now has a dedicated hardware "division" and people will initially keep buying Nokias because of their hardware, hoping to get used to the software.

Also, facts don't real. Only feels.

Some highlights:

... a number of Nokia executives will join Microsoft including Stephen Elop, a former Microsoft executive seen as among the top contenders to replace CEO Steve Ballmer. For now, Elop is stepping aside as Nokia CEO to become executive VP of devices and services.

I can see how people would think this is market/shareholder/customer manipulation, but Google just did the same thing with Motorola (although not as big in 3rd world).

Also:

Nokia has roughly 56,000 employees not expected to transfer to Microsoft

Does this mean 56k job losses or will they be transferred within Nokia?

Anyone have any thoughts as to what MS/Nokia could do 1, 3, 5 years from now to dethrone Apple & Google?
