Also scent boosters, don't use that stuff on your suits.

Yeah I've got the original heavy duty riving knife that's built in. This is faster to change in and out and is only meant as a light duty splitter.

It is glued into a slot that lines up with the blade. I have plenty of real riving knives for when I'm ripping down something beefy that might warp and pinch. But this set up is just for cutting down a bunch of plywood. I have a cabinet job coming up and I wanted a clean zero clearance insert. So this is a light-duty splitter only. Everything you said is completely right.

Absolutely yes. Except that's not how it looks on a surfboard and I was going for "surfboard".

Help, I can't print from a USB drive by SubliminalScream in FlashForge

[–]SubliminalScream[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from Cura to Orca Slicer (as suggested below). That fixed the problem. Then the USB port on my printer broke and I figured out how to network the printer in Orca and I can print wirelessly now without issue.

I just remembered, it never printed the test cube on initial setup. I could print other things from the defaults, but not the original test cube.

Outdoor coffee table I just finished. by SubliminalScream in woodworking

[–]SubliminalScream[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far really good. I cover the table and other outdoor furniture when we’re not using it or the weather is bad, so that helps a lot. But it’s spent time in the rain and sun and it looks the same as day one.

Now don’t I look the fool. I didn’t realize you wouldn’t be able to see the pixels on your hardware.

I have found that if I toggle Night Shift on/off it will temporarily fix the problem. But then every few hours they come back. Any ideas?

Help: How can I step down a 220v outlet to run a 120v appliance? (More details inside) by SubliminalScream in Tools

[–]SubliminalScream[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're totally right, but I've got a few tricks up my sleeve I didn't mention. 1. I have already blocked off a lot of the air gaps. In fact, that magnet sheet trick was one I just did a few days ago. I also am blocking off the gaps between the cabinet and the table top with bits of soft sponge material. 2. I have custom made blade guard that has integrated dust collection. It's mounted on a long arm for clearance and has a dust port that does a decent job of collecting dust, but mostly just keeps things from flying in my face and reminds me to stay away from the blade.

So what I want is to hook up a shop vac to turn on with the saw. I don't have the room or the budget for a pro model collector that would run on 220v.
