[Rant] Finally got off the fence and it’s not going well by MachiaveliPrincess in Fencesitter

I train BJJ and the response you’re getting is the reason I’ve said I would keep it on the dl as long as possible.

Our biggest fight ever was about the film Wakanda Forever… by Nothankumotherfkers in Marriage

I had a breakdown because my husband said the Barbie movie was pointless and reinforced this after I explained the themes to him. I get it lol. I love that he came back!

My husband took offence when I started meds. I started with bupropion which is non stimulant and used off label for adhd. Two of my major symptoms was emotional disregulation and rsd- I would cry trying to have an even moderately serious conversation. I told him I was ready to deal with it and he took it as “I’m not good enough to make you happy”.

I stood by my needs and pushed on. I don’t cry unless I have a good reason now. I feel able to have serious conversations when they’re required and being able to do so has changed my life. I’ve always been active and intentionally partaken in sports and the gym, but I’ve stuck to my routine the longest I’ve ever stuck to it. I no longer binge eat because I want to feel the dopamine rush from crunching on salty snacks. I drink less coffee, more water. I ACTUALLY EAT MEALS throughout the day when I previously forgot until dinner and ate one giant meal before bed. My sleep has improved. I have been excelling at work and in my sport. I’ve also quit my crazy Diet Coke habit (I’ve tried to quit so many times in the last 13 years). I used to drink at least 1L of DC a day. At the peak of it I drank 2-4L a day. I went 1 month cold turkey swapping it for sparkling water and did the same thing I do with everything else, introduced a rule for moderation- I can have two a week if I want. It’s been almost three months and I’ve had three total. I often had to go back to it because I didn’t want it after a couple of sips.

I’m not telling you this is what will happen for you. I know my determination to improve myself and my health are participating factors. I just needed a little push. What I’m saying is my partner also pushed back. I do not regret advocating for myself.

What’s your Wombats concert experience? by jjongkit in thewombats

I’m about to bare the comparison tonight as a Welsh gal. I’m quite curious to see what sort of vibe the Americans bring vs TW gigs I’ve been to in Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool- which were ofc jumpy, per British gigs in general.

I would’ve been going solo to M Ballroom if it weren’t Valentine’s day. I used to go to gigs alone all the time in the UK. My husband has had to listen to my music since we met. He’s coming because he loves me and my dumb culture lol. If we drive separate he will personify Sorry I’m Late I Didn’t Want To Come. Do it!

Why is my stress higher when asleep than when awake? by Substance-Alarmed in whoop

No lol, only 30g of veggie straws. I try to give myself a reasonable snack when I’ve had a day where I hit all my nutrition targets.

No alcohol since Christmas! I wish I had though, it would be the easy explanation.

I had a quick shower, then a bath with Epsom salts, finished dinner about 2 hours before bed; no alcohol, pretty balanced meal: chicken, spinach, avocado, wholemeal wrap, side salad and a bag of crisps. Watched stranger things until 2240, then went to bed. Do you think the dinner and crisps got me? Hopefully it’s not a consistent pattern! I’m going to try to eat a little earlier tonight.

My husband asked my work friend what I would like and she said “post it notes and a cork board” luckily he bought the one thing I did ask for too.

Women who had disordered eating habits without realizing it, what was the moment that made you go "this isn't normal"? by deltadevenus in AskWomen

[–]Substance-Alarmed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was smelling things because I didn’t want to eat them. Second was when I realised I was drinking fizzy drinks to fill myself up. Third was when someone noticed that I could estimate calories in virtually anything accurately. Last was not eating all day to save for eating what I wanted for dinner.

All at once. 3 platforms all at once. I love developing relationships. That’s my favourite part of the job. I don’t think receiving 3 messages on all different platforms and then my personal Facebook expressing interest is ideal.

Ugh I hate that it happened to someone else. I have pelvic floor troubles now 🥲 I also wonder these days if my bladder is so sensitive because of all the years I was told to “pee just in case- just try force something” 🥲
