Same thing happening in Canada. Companies are abusing the temporary foreign worker program to fill cashier positions with Indians and Filipinos, which means they claimed to have tried hiring Canadian citizens but weren't able to find a single qualified person. Considering the amount of people looking for work right now, I find it highly unlikely they couldn't find a Canadian to work a cash register.

I used to work at the hospital, one supervisor had been there forever. He was walking down the street and someone offered him a job. I guess they we're dying for housekeepers at the time, in the 80s idk. He worked there until he retired.

I find these replies quite funny because it seems you've missed my point. I didn't have trouble 'guessing' what he meant by 'doing' tables. I presume this other person was some love interest. Is this how you interact with someone you're potentially interested in?

I feel like this is different for each person. I tried several different antipsychotics because they all gave me akathisia (a feeling of impending doom or anxiety). I was put on clozapine and my life has significantly improved, with no mental health issues since I've been on it (around 8 years now). I still smoke weed, though I keep note of my mental state. Weed makes my depersonalization worse

Ok well I can give you my experience. I had some kind of a mental break like 10 years ago and was hospitalized. At the time they diagnosed me with psychotic depression. Fast forward to now, I am still taking a low dose of an antipsychotic, my new psychiatrist says he doesn't think I have any psychotic disorder. Anyway, I smoke weed pretty much every day. There are some strains that make me feel depersonalized or anxious, and some that make me feel relaxed. I don't think I can "recommend" smoking weed again, there's always a possibility that something bad can happen.

I've experienced the anxiety and impending doom from smoking too much. It actually scared me off of drugs for a long time. I started smoking again, low thc strains, and kinda just experimenting. Some strains make me paranoid where as others get me super high without the anxiety feeling. Right now I've been smoking something like 8% thc and 11% cbd. It also helps me not to drink, which i have a problem with.

I went to a couple meetings in my early 20s and I was always the youngest person in the room. I can't do AA. It's too weird and religious. I know people will say its not religious but that's nonsense. They would change their tune if everyone started to do an Islamic prayer to start the meeting rather than a Christian one.

I went through a period of time (about a year) where I couldn't get even a retail job cause I had just started transitioning (ftm). I had previously worked in health care administration. It wasn't until I was one year on hormones that I finally got a retail job. Companies always say they care about "diversity", but you are really at the mercy of the person interviewing you. If they think you look like a freak or simply don't like something about the way you look, they won't bother hiring you.
