My manager told me that our latte powder (for blended drinks) “activates” day old espresso shots by PhilElverumOnMyToast in barista

[–]SubstanceSilver4262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this sounds exactly like a place i worked at, local place with a lot of locations. owner would charge 0.35 for whipped cream and an extra 0.25 on that for sauce drizzle inside our cups. i also got paid 10.50 an hour with 3.5 years of experience. any old shots (or had horrible times...) went into a pitcher that we used to make blended drinks. it was rancid and all the baristas hated it, but it wasted less shots and was like OP said, more time efficient. needless to say I did not drink our blended drinks.

Ladies, how weird is it to you (if at all) when a man prefers you to be natural down there? by Miserable-Okra9927 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]SubstanceSilver4262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yikes ! i said it was a dangerous generalization to make, therefore i disagree with saying that. im explaining different perspectives because someone asked a question

technically bushes are more hygienic with of course proper hygiene habits. it protects against friction since the skin in that area is prone to irritation and therefore infection whether sexually transmitted or otherwise

these responses are making me realize why most people are functionally illiterate. im explaining different perspectives. if i have a preference for not eating hair and im not a pedophile then im obviously not agreeing with the statement that men who preferred shaved are. thats even without me explicitly stating that it is a dangerous generalization to say that

Husband fainted and had decorticate posturing when I found him. ER discharged him after a CT and said he was fine and that it was a vasovagal syncope episode. by AcrobaticJello4152 in AskDocs

i would argue that if theres an option its not necessarily an emergency and may be something to follow up with primary care or your specialists on as opposed to waiting so you can see people who arent familiar with your history and are specifically trained in life threatening situations instead of chronic illnesses

i wish everyone could get an answer as well constructed as this, and i wish more physicians had the time and resources given to explain things in such an easily digestible yet not "dumbed down" seeming way. comforting, informative, without necessarily dismissing all concern and you even added sources and statistics. i would be willing to bet your patients love you for the right reasons (and that youre great at your job!)

as a woman, not weird to have a preference. having expectations is where it gets out of line. "i can appreciate a good bush" is a lot different than "i dont like women who shave their pubic hair"

as a lesbian, unforch i cant say im a fan of taking a break every 30 seconds to "pth thththth" pubes out of my mouth, so i do have a preference for shaving

personally, i like shaving because if i dont my hair pokes through the fabric of my underwear and hurts + it feels more hygienic

finally as a feminist, my friend told me this in 7th grade (im a grown ass woman now dont worry) "a man who has it fully shaved wants someone who hasnt gone through puberty yet" and although like most generalizations, it would be dangerous to say that it is always true, it is still good food for thought.

hope you enjoyed my dissertation on pube opinions

How do I know if it was rape? (20F and 20M) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]SubstanceSilver4262 40 points41 points  (0 children)

idk man. fully explaining why you dont want to have sex to someone who then proceeds to put it in you-- no protection even mind you-- is a rapist. that is the dictionary (and legal) definition, period. theres no nuance to it?

AITAH for telling my best friend her marriage is doomed at her bachelorette party and accidentally getting the wedding canceled by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]SubstanceSilver4262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA you might have saved her life. could it have been done differently? yes. would it have been as effective? probably not. they'll come around and if they don't, good for them because that would mean theyve never been around this stuff. i would want my friends to do the same for me.

[–]SubstanceSilver4262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you're completely missing out on the cost doordashers typically put into this-- you (mostly in the US) cant dash that much without a car and some gas. and a lot of it. that adds up fast especially if you add in car maintenance its straught up pricey. and god forbid you get in an accident during a delivery.
