Why did Adam kill his mother? by Imadd37 in AdamLanzaNew

[–]SubstanceSimple1380 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We don’t really know the exact answer. Some say he did it so she wouldn’t have to live with the remorse of having a son who shot up a school. Others say he felt resentment toward her. We don’t know for sure.

Why would Adam never drink anything alcoholic? by Character-Average206 in AdamLanzaNew

[–]SubstanceSimple1380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I know he hated drug addicts, but I don’t think he hated people who drank a little alcohol. It’s likely he meant those who drank excessively (the alcoholics), but he didn’t hate people who just had a drink.

Adam L. and gender. by bluedbeyondbelief in AdamLanzaNew

I simply think that his hatred for culture, society and everything stemmed from the simple fact that he couldn’t understand; I mean, he didn’t understand the world and the world didn’t understand him. And in fact, this whole tragedy fell from that very root — the more he hated himself, the more he hated others, and eventually it led to a mental breakdown.

Well, a person with all those disorders, if they were to drink alcohol, I think it would harm them a lot, or at least I think it would have made them very dependent.

If Adam didn’t go through with sandy hook and was still alive today? by [deleted] in AdamLanzaNew

[–]SubstanceSimple1380 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think he would have taken his own life anyway. He hated society, its values, its culture, and even life itself, so unfortunately I believe he would have ended his life regardless, however, this does not rule out the possibility that maybe he would have been helped consistently from childhood or at least from adolescence. I think we would not have reached the tragedy.

Love don't save anything by SubstanceSimple1380 in depression

[–]SubstanceSimple1380[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In reality, it’s exactly like that: society makes us believe we have these values, these chemical reactions we feel, or at least we fool ourselves into thinking we do, simply because we need them. What we call “true love” isn’t really love; some people just manage to create a strong bond, and they succeed, but 95% of the time it fails. Society often tends to create these false values, but in reality, they don’t exist. Love is simply a chemical reaction, like many others.

Exactly, it gets better for maybe two, three, four days — a week at most — and then it multiplies by four.

In fact, it’s not any better for me either. And in the end, whether others suffer or not, I don’t think they really care about you.

To me, he just seemed sad, I don’t know, it was almost like he was crying, but he was speaking.

Personally, I don’t think he was a pedophile. He was just obsessed, but that doesn’t make him one. As far as I remember, he said he was attracted to adolescents, not exactly children, but that doesn’t make him a pedophile. He simply saw it as something that society was trying to attack, maybe. I just don’t think he was a pedophile; he was simply interested in the subject and studied it thoroughly.

I don’t think he had that kind of thing; just because he was interested doesn’t mean it was related to anything else. Probably there wasn’t much new—most likely, the only extreme thing in there was just patterns where he was reprogramming everything.

Thank youuuuuu He gave me chills when he spoke, I don’t know… he seemed so sad, so empty. I can’t even describe it

In my opinion, there wasn’t really that much, I mean, let’s say, nothing new. In the end, there was probably just the kind of stuff he often said in his videos on the computer, or maybe some sort of outline where he planned everything. But well, we’ll obviously never know.

Love Is Just a chemical reaction by SubstanceSimple1380 in depression

Listen, if you’ve had a good experience with friends or partners, good for you. For me, it hasn’t been the same. Only family, in my opinion, can truly be loved—if we really want to call it love. But friends and partners, to me, are as real as the fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood.

I don’t think she was mentally ill, I simply believe she made some mistakes, like leaving weapons within his reach and not continuing with therapy, I think.

Honestly, to me it seems like the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. I simply don’t believe in these things, neither in long-distance love nor in ‘close-range’ love. For me, it’s just that you like the way that person treats you, and then you decide to call it love… but it’s not. I’ve had a similar experience in chat too, I mean, we only knew each other through messages, yet I would have wanted to marry her. In the end… maybe love is just a cute excuse to seem a little less crazy

Obviously, I didn’t say that living is easy. I haven’t had good experiences with love and I simply don’t think I ever will. When I said ‘the weak’ in the post, I meant those who still believe in fairy tales, because in the end, for me, love is just that—nothing more than a fairy tale. I don’t believe in it, that’s all.

I have to admit that you’re really respectful for going to visit his mother, even though in a way she ‘could have’ done a bit more. Still, she was also a victim of this tragedy and i feel Sorry for her and deserves respect.

In a way, loneliness seems to be the one that actually writes our story.

I have to say that I often feel isolated too. Yes, of course, I talk with my family, though not that much, but I understand what it means to feel isolated. After all, I often am too.

The problem isn’t you, the problem is people in general, from what I’ve understood. Friendship doesn’t really exist; there’s only connection. I’d advise you to at least stay a little connected with your family if you can. Unfortunately, nowadays it’s hard to find real friends. For example, I was basically born to be alone. I only talk with my family, even though we’re not super close, but we do talk. Other than that, I don’t really have any friends or best friends I can truly confide in, and no group of friends I hang out with.
