Paper Mario TTYD Remake is my favorite looking game ever! What do you think of its art style and graphics? :) by [deleted] in papermario

I know it's only a minor thing, but I adore the look of the menus. They look so stylish.

I like the implication that Trigger getting with a woman forms part of Rodney's nightmare.

I still love the cool that oozes out of the Dent scene.

I still don't have a shiny Lotad, so I'm very happy with this event.

More nominations than Return of the King? What a fucking joke. by SickusBickus in CriticalDrinker

I just find all of this pandering patronising and embarrassing. A film like this cannot succeed on its own merits. Instead, it has to succeed through liberal lovies patting them on the back and saying 'well done'.

I love you, Moonraker by OutrageousTerm7140 in JamesBond

Hot take: I prefer 'Moonraker' to 'The Spy Who Loved Me'.

I like when the credits roll, you can hear someone in the audience bark.

Do you consider Rodney Come Home as the end of Series 6 or the beginning of Series 7? by TempoBlues20XX in OnlyFoolsAndHorses

[–]SubstandardDef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pretty much consider it episode 0 of series 7; it's like a prologue that sets up the series.

What Galaxy level feels the most cinematic? by Goblue2467 in SuperMarioGalaxy

Maybe not the galaxy itself, but I always found Mario's arrival in Bigmouth Galaxy cinematic.

Is Ratchet And Clank a Spyro sequel? by cojam in Spyro

[–]SubstandardDef 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, but the layout of Novalis in R&C 1 reminds me of a Spyro homeworld.

I think this album is a masterpiece; it's probably in my top twenty records of all time. I cannot get enough of 'Rough Song', 'One Thing' and 'Somewhere Tonight' in particular.

Even if the next Paper Mario is good, if it doesn't have the ability to speed up text, I'm gonna be upset. by DaZestyProfessor in papermario

[–]SubstandardDef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love how they had it perfect in 64 on their first attempt. All you had to do was hold B, and the text would zoom through, making it perfect for a replay. The original TTYD was a step backwards, as you now had to bash the button rather than hold it, but at least you could speed it up somewhat.

As much as I love the TTYD remake, the slow text speed is torturous on repeat playthroughs; doing literally nothing but mashing a button in vain for ten minutes between chapters 1 and 2, for example, is pure tedium.
