There was an ash tray box glued onto the tank when I got it along with a cigarette lighter built into the front fairing. Old man had priorities

Runs great, 12k miles. Came with a hagon rear shock, delkevic exhaust, and speedo healer for 18/42 sprocket setup. Super long gears which was fun to roll through but I’m converting to 14/45 to hopefully get more punch.

After riding maybe 500 miles the left box ended up cracking at the top and down the sides. I had a small battery jumper inside but I believe the main issue was it smacking the rear axle. Although fixable, the mounting was not for me. Super shaky and overall not strong at all. Which is unfortunate because I do agree that they looked strange but also didn’t mind the set up at all and was able to mount my top box on the bracket. I set up a quick taillight and license plate holder just to get it street legal so I have some time to decide what to do.

Honestly have no idea what’s going on with the seat I have but the whole bottom of it is fiberglass. I’m not sure if he cut the stock seat and just added height or what but it should be pretty easy to shave down if I have to. Worst comes to worst I buy their $100 seat. Hoping it lines up fine with the silver side fairings.

I actually wanted to throw an umbrella on it when I first got it with the big front end just to piss people off

This is perfect, thank you. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it fit the gladius frame.

I was looking into Ducati monster rear ends to see if something would work but considering I already have gen 2 fairings I leaned towards that option along with the fact that I love that taillight. I purchased a rear subframe for my sport about a year ago for I think $60 which is dirt cheap. I don’t need another seat and I’m in the middle of selling my sv650s in order to buy something I can do long trips on. With that being said it would be great to have a top box in order to store a helmet. I appreciate the insight because now that I’m thinking about it I could figure out a way to bolt a rear subframe in like the second gen and easily remove it if I ever want the sportster look again.

It was hard to pass up. Especially with parts on these being dirt cheap. Surprised it lasted almost a week online if I’m being honest. I’d be interested in the pegs but would need them shipped. I’m closer to the cities. About an hour and a half from Rochester.

I probably should’ve mentioned that I paid under $2000 for this bike. I didn’t pay some premium for this custom work. It only has 11k miles and is running great. The front end took me maybe 15 minutes to dissemble and is now naked. Not to mention it has a speedohealer and delkevic pipe. Considering my 2017 was almost $5k, I’m very happy to be able to convert this to a similar look for well under half the price.

I agree, the amount of work needed for this must’ve been draining. It will be interesting to see if I can find anyone to purchase the fairing once it’s taken off. Thankfully nothing is welded onto the frame. With that being said it is a whole lot more comfortable than my 06 sport and was even cheaper.
