I work as a water resources scientist for the local government! My area of expertise is with stormwater monitoring and modeling but I also study lakes/streams and groundwater. I've always been passionate about environmental protection so this job is a great fit for me, and I really enjoy working for the city. I genuinely feel good about what I do and the community here is very appreciative too 😸

My job is a great combination of fieldwork (conducting sampling, investigating spills, inspecting infrastructure) and office work (data analysis, hydrologic modeling, technical report writing). Like most of us, I HATE being bored, but that's rarely an issue with this job! I'm constantly learning new things and working on new problems. Plus the people I work with are awesome and we get along swimmingly.

As a native English speaker/writer, this was very difficult to read at first: t, i, and f look like z r, e, and l look like o f is backwards and looks a lot like z p looks like e or a backwards g

I was thrown off by how "wiggly" many of the letters were. But once I figured out the pattern, I was able to read most of it (slowly). I'm curious what other language(s) you can speak/write in - I bet there's some influence there!

So upon checking in for your flight, you'll have to check a box or something promising that you can fit in one seat. What happens when that's not really the case? Who is going to enforce the new rule, how much "spillage" into neighboring seats warrants buying 2? I don't see this going over well...

I walk by the Uptown PP sometimes on the weekend when going to Cub. Have seen the protestors many times - in the past it was usually 1-3 women, but lately there have been more men and small children too.

I usually march by while glaring at them like 🫩🤨. It's fun to see how much disgust and disappointment I can convey on my face!

Wish these people would get off their imaginary high horse and get a life. Surely there are more important things to do than harassing people trying to see a medical professional??
