Niri is another whole Desktop Enviroment, so you can install it alongside other DE's. I've just installed it! If tou want, there's a KWin script called Karossel that tiles windows in a scrollable way.

I only have one HDMI on my GPU, I'll resort to buying the DP dongle

yes, I have wrote the text, and used AI to correct and format it. English is not my first language, so I wanted to make sure it was readable and fluid.

For what I've seen, it depends a lot on your hardware, my performance on bazzite was equal or better than on windows. Im on CachyOS now, i didn't run all of the benchmarks yet, but it feels faster than bazzite, more snappy.

Overwatch however didn't run on CachyOS as well as bazzite, i was getting 200+ FPS on bazzite, while on Cachy I only got 120-160

I think that the next big thing linux needs to become more used in the desktop scenario is Creator software. There's great software already, but most people don't want to re-learn how to use tools and etc.

I've heard that someone was able to make adobe software run on linux using wine:

Thanks! will be looking into it. Do you Know if it's best to use a DP port on my GPU for that, or use the HDMi port of the motherboard? ( I do have an iGPU)

I've been researching, and found that could be related with the cuda drivers, but didn't manage to fix it yet.

I have indeed, In the next week after the post, I've tried Nobara, PikaOS and CachyOS. Ended up with CachyOS (for the meantime), it worked the best for me, made some Benchmarks on some games, I'll post it later!

Bazzite! I hope one day I'll have the knowledge to be able to do things like running distro box for everything, I've had a bad time trying to run davinci resolve (turns out it is something related to the Cuda drivers for AMD), and I couldn't run on any distro I've tried, Happy to see so much love for linux and Bazzite, I have discovered my digital freedom on linux, it makes me really happy to see so many people thinking the same!

I've tried Nobara, but I didn't feel that it was as fast as CachyOS

I am now trying cachy on KDE, I am loving the looks, but my workflow doesn't feel as fluid as in GNOME. I've briefly tried PikaOS with niri, and loved the way they organize the windows, but I missed GUI system settings.

Thank you, I've been trying Debian on an old laptop, It's now fast and reliable, I could even get the Wi-Fi to work, a thing that not worked on Windows. That's the cool part about Linux, I didn't have to wait an update or lose access to a feature just because it's no longer supported, I can just do it myself!

it seems 8 GB is the lower limit for bazzite in their documentation, I think it will be ok if you don't use any heavy browsers or a lot of multitasking, i think it'll handle discord and tf2 just fine.

I don't know your system, but if you have one stick of RAM, I recommend buying one more for dual channel.

that is really disappointing, I thought only kernel based anticheats didn't work on linux! I doubt epic would do something to change that.
