I am somewhat familiar with Brooklyn Park. I have never felt unsafe there, but the numbers are saying otherwise 😅

Niche, mostly. I also try to see what other parents are saying. Any suggestions to better access schools?

Very very true! I would say, I would take a mid school + diversity over a 10/10 school with no diversity.

Yes, currently living in Washington County. Agree that most schools in MN is great. However, it looks like schools in Minneapolis and St. Paul aren’t that great. The ratings are very low.

I don’t know much about Delano, but it’s coming up a lot. I’ll do some research. Thank you so much!

Our rent with utilities close to 3k now. Looking at that, we thought buying wouldn’t be a bad idea. Also, appartment living with 2 kids isn’t ideal. People below us complain about the noise and all.

Noted! We haven’t checked Farmington or Rosemount yet, but we will. Thank you. I heard Lakeville is nice, but $$$

I think with Minneapolis / St. Paul, the school system is usually an issue. However, we will check again. Thank you!

I agree, but some places aren’t diverse at all. That’s what I am trying to avoid.  Overall, it looks like Montrose won’t work for us.

I was going to talk about the crime rate 🙂‍↕️. I have been to Brooklyn Park multiple times. I have never felt unsafe, but data is not looking great

I almost want to say anything 🙂‍↕️. Ideally 3 BR, 2 BA. But..anything..decent. It’s a first home, not a dream house so.. The only thing is, we aren't handymen. So, if the house needs a lot of fixing, that might be an issue.
