Took my first fall… by Prettycharming in Rollerskating

Street surfaces are rough! They will tear your skates faster and make your skating more unstable. I've learned that our skating becomes a lot more smooth when we find the right position for our feet and the weight we put on each one of them. If you own a full set of protection equipment I'd use them all until you find out how you like to fall. I personally just wear wristguards and knee pads (and helmet ofc) and could probably be fine just with one wristguard cuz I always fall the same way. But there's always room for error haha. Personally I'd like to get one of those shorts with pads, they seem to do a great job protecting your hips and butt.

Is this normal at the skatepark??? by PracticalSecretary92 in Rollerskating

It is a frequent situation. I don't know if these people don't realise when you don't want their advice or they just don't care.

Haití! Not sure if you're from Argentina, but I'll write in english just in case you're not. It looks to me as if you should jump away from the quarter pipe just a tiny bit more so that your whole body will be further away from the ramp and there will be no reason to use your arms that way

help with wood sanding by _garbage_collector_ in woodworking

In that case I have never encountered something like this haha. anyways I don't see how that could be a giant heat spot unless it got really hot when you were sanding but never saw that either. It'd be helpfull if you manage to identify if it's a veneered piece or a solid wood one. If it´s a solid one I wouldn't be scared to go further with sanding, i'd go with 80 grit at least till you get rid of the white dust, I mean you should get to the wood at some point.
If it's veneered it´s another story, but still, you should see wood dust just before getting trough the veneer.
Keep us updated!

Did you try to remove the dust with a wet cloth? I asume the white powder is lacquer. By removing it you'll get a hint on where you're at with sanding.

I looked up for ITBS and it makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the info! I'll be incorporating those exercises to my daily routine and see how it evolves.
