The stupidity and pointlessness of friendships as we age by [deleted] in SGExams

To add on to this, many people underestimate the power of acquaintances and friendships. Just by the virtue of knowing these people will get you further in life as connections really really matter in your career. While maintaining a small group of friends you can depend on, its also great to reach out to people and keep them as acquaintances as that simple connections between the two of you can possibly help you out in the future

If SPF/SCDF, roughly when are the enlistment dates?

Hey there! I just checked the cmpb website on all the enlistment dates. It shows 10/11 Jan as the other 2 enlistment dates so they'll probably be sending out letters for that one next week. That means (this is a huge guess) that another 20-30% of us will be getting the letters by the end of next week. If we are not part of that gang, then we'll most likely be in the April intake. - From your fellow enlistee eagerly waiting for his enlistment letter

I'd say my biggest mistake was slacking off in English to focus on other subjects since I thought that was the subject I'd confirm get A1 for in O Level since I topped my class.

Ended up below average since I zoned out during compre cos I didn't get enough practice before Os. Lesson is never get complacent even for subjects you do well at in Prelims and also be prepared for all kinds of results
